    You said your RPM reading was a little off. If I understand correctly, dynos measure torque, and then calculate HP. The high HP reading could be because your RPM was off. Someone can confirm/deny that.

    Mildly built RB25. A 700HP motor in that car makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. In addition to what was stated above, the chassis would likely need to be reinforced if the owner has any plans of making use of the power.

    You can use other things to blast it, ie, plastic, walnut shells, etc. or even soda blast it. Out of those, I think soda blasting it would be the safest. I wouldn't use sand.

    Why does he have it listed as a '72? If the VIN is right, it's likely a '70.

    As far as I know, the early 260Z uses 240Z suspension, and the late 260Z uses 280Z suspension. Order accordingly. Based on your description of the fit of the 280Z interior parts, I'm guessing you have an early 260Z. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    I think the series one 240Zs have shorter steering knuckles, but don't quote me on that.

    For what it's worth, I too thought the 280Z had a slower rack than the 240Z.

    Old guy's hating on the Datsun... and I gotta say he has no taste if he likes the wanna-be speed racer car better. Additionally, can't believe he said stock 240Z steering was "a little tough." My 240z steers with practically no effort.

    The red one actually looks pretty good. Don't like the tail lights though.
