  1. Agreed. I got some lower rear quarters from them a while ago, and when compared with the car, the compound curve/corner of the car that it replaces is COMPLETELY off. I don't see it taking any less than a shitload of effort to make that piece right for even a professional. I think it'd be better to just start from scratch if you know what you're doing... The rocker and doglegs were a decent match though, at least as far as I can tell.
  2. Actually, it appears we're both right. Kathy and Rick are the owners, but didn't fill out the VIN. They listed it as gold, which is correct. Mike B also added the car for some reason, and listed it as blue. Don't know why. Actually, it seems the registry is messed up, because Kathy and Rick definitely don't own #26... and Mike B doesn't own #27. Also, Kathy and Rick's engine # and Mike B's engine # for #13 are off... I'm lost.
  3. No, it's gold. It even says so. http://www.nissansportmag.com/issue-13-winter-2010
  4. Nope, it's correct. I've had: 1976 280z - On hold 1972 240z (scrapped) 1980 10th AE (parts) 1981 ZXT (scrapped) 1971 240z - Not as solid as I'd hoped.
  5. I tried Google translator, it seems he's looking for someone to modify his front suspension.
  6. Fix your flares. The rear of the rear flare is sticking way out into the body work. The front flare looks like it needs to be rotated down about an inch using the rear of the flare as the pivot point. Assuming there is an engine in the vehicle, this could also help a little bit with the extra fender gap the front has compared to the rear.
  7. If you're asking about wheel choices, I say go with the first. It looks good and I haven't seen it before. Watanabes are everywhere.
  8. Wow, you wasted no time getting the new motor in and running.
  9. So, when you sell it, you're going to tell them to sign up here, right? Really sorry it's going that way though. Best of luck on your next project.
  10. If I'm not mistaken, that belongs to THIS GUY.
  11. And I thought I was having a bad week... Very sorry to hear of your loss, but also glad you're okay!
  12. Because the process of getting a license here in the US is a joke. I took the permit test twice... barely had to try. It had stupid questions on it as well that really had nothing to do with driving. The road test was just pathetic. Once I got past parallel parking, the whole thing was a breeze, and it was then that I knew why there were so many crappy drivers. I basically just drove around the block, and threw on a couple lights. Anyone can do that! I don't agree with it being more expensive. The goal should be to making a drivers license accessible to anyone who can drive well enough to meet the standards. The rest I agree with. Driving schools, like those offered for teens to teach them how to react in an emergency, etc. should be standard practice. I really don't agree with any of this. Sorry. It's 16 to get a permit and 17 to get a license in NJ, and I think they got it right.
  13. I think you have to do that now. It's too funny not to.
  14. At least your doors fit. I have to PICK UP my drivers door to shut it. It's all kinds of f'd up.
  15. I'm with kjones. That WAS a nice car, in need of restoration. Paint tends to fade in 40 years time, but the car isn't rusty (relatively), and is generally complete and solid... and running, which is more than a lot of us can say about our cars. Not to mention it's an early car, which is generally seen as the most collectible of all years of the 240z. All the exterior mods done by the previous owner were also very tasteful (IMO), whether you want to acknowledge it or not. So far, I really don't think anything you've done is an improvement. Sorry.
  16. That body kit is hardly ridiculous. Although I still half-agree with you. Not my taste.
  17. I was under the impression that he took molds of his RB Z, which already has flares.
  18. I somehow don't think the F+R suspension from a Supra will fit under the S30, width wise. You need to get a lot of measurements to see if the swap is even feasible, or if the benefits would be worth it.
  19. I remember you, and was wondering where you were. Glad you're not dead!
  20. Yep. +1 Exactly. I really don't see this ending well. Did this car belong to BayAreaZT? If so, please don't ruin it. It was one of my favorite examples of a clean, tasteful 240z.
