  1. Looks like a fiberglass dash. http://www.pdkfabrication.com/Dash.htm
  2. Got the bug to work on this thing again, and made a little progress since my last update. - Did an electric fan conversion, since my radiator came with one. Why not? - Installed said radiator, and new hoses (which did NOT fit out of the box). - Fuel system is all done as of today. - Driveshaft is in. - Cleaned the interior a bit... including a mouse nest I found in the rocker. - Put on some snowflakes with good tires from my parts car. - Put on a spare door to fix my door alignment problem... the bad news is that it didn't fix it, so now I've got a real problem, and NO idea what the hell is wrong. - Got a new wiring harness, correct for my car, so it will plug right in with no problems as soon as I fix a burnt wire or two. - Found more rust, but also found solid metal where I didn't expect there to be. I guess that's good? Not a lot, but it's something. However, there is bad news. As mentioned, I keep finding more and more rust, and basically I've decided not to use this shell. I will get it driving and all the necessary things functional, but only so that I have a Z to drive while looking for a better shell. If anyone wants this shell, I'll be selling it as a roller, and probably pretty cheap. It is in fact salvageable, but it would be a bit of a pain in the ass to fix it, since it has rusted in a lot of hard to fix areas, although where it has rusted is generally not very serious. Lots of bubbling and pitting, but there are also some holes. It would be a good welding project for someone who wants to put in the work. It's not for sale yet, but if someone wants to get their foot in the door, feel free to PM me. Onto a few more recent pics, although not much has changed.
  3. That car looks barely fixable, and it certainly wouldn't be worth it IMO. Having a car that is significantly more solid, I STILL manage to find more rust every time I look at it, and I've had it for a year. If my car is this bad, yours will probably just be a case where you cut away rust, and you're left with nothing. For a little perspective, my car, which has MUCH, MUCH less rust, I am still planning on replacing with a new shell. If you decide to get a new shell, you should not just send it to the scrapper though. Part it out. Your car is a series 1, and they have numerous series 1 specific parts. Also will be a great way to get at least some of your investment out of it.
  4. I don't think I wanna know what the rest of your car looks like. I thought mine was bad... well it is, but you know what I mean.
  5. I've considered doing that as well, but for somewhat different reasons. I have two Zs and they're both junk. I just want ONE good, solid Z that doesn't need each and every little thing replaced/missing. I don't think I can get nearly what I have into them by selling them though which is a problem... Nor do I think I could find a buyer. I have so much Z junk though it's ridiculous. It's taking up WAY too much space.
  6. Anyone know if various companies use a common thread/pitch/tube diameter, etc? Would be nice to buy their weld on adapter and be able to choose to go with their coilovers, or another company's product. The more options, the better, IMO.
  7. You call that a rust bucket? I guess it's clear I'm from the north east. I wish my car was even nearly that solid.
  8. What are those two round things forward of the door jamb, and above the rocker?
  9. Take a look at Revolution gauges. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/72718-revolution-gauges-installed/page__hl__revolution
  10. That's Clifton's old race car. Search his posts. I think it's also for sale, although it may have sold by now. I think sickboy is the one selling.
  11. That car looks way too nice to be a LeMons car.
  12. What are your monthly bills with the iPhone? I'd like to get one, since they're so cheap now, but I really can't justify a $90/mo. bill, which is about what I've heard from everyone I've asked so far.
  13. This is the non tech section, rule 1 doesn't apply.. Also, Josh was supposed to search on what to do about moving in with a female? lol.
  14. Posts in certain subforums don't add to your post count. Perhaps you've managed to only post in those forums?
  15. Bump. I'm finding "Find content" and "Find links" to be rather annoying, and not in the least bit useful. Between this, and the fact that I can no longer find the advanced search, which didn't fully work, this is making it very frustrating finding threads. I know who made it, but seemingly no way to find it. Edit: Found it, but it could have been much simpler.
  16. I like what you've done with your toe nails. They even match the pedals. How cute! But really, the car looks good.
  17. No. The point is that normally someone would get a salvaged or wrecked car to act as a donor, not a flawless example in a rare color combo. Your car was not the donor, it was the swap victim. And personally, I don't like sedans. I'd have preferred the stock M3 coupe.
  18. I think it's pretty stupid he bought a perfectly good E46 M3 just to basically ruin it for his project. But whatever.
  19. He's talking about the actual sheet metal, not the head liner.
