  1. Looks good, better than I could do. What color is it?
  2. Going through some old threads about rust repair, there's several posts where it just says "Posted Image" everywhere there would be an image. Initially thought this was just a problem with my browser, but it's still doing it. Also, the pic I posted in one thread is showing up still, but not the pictures Jon re-uploaded just last year aren't working. Examples: Get the lead out Cowl rust pictures, what to do? And here, further down: Rust repair pics/advise please! So, are they broken, or is it me? Are they all going to have to be re-uploaded?
  3. Good luck with that. I've got the same problem. I don't really know how I'm going to fix it, just that I'm not going to enjoy it. Also, please type properly, using capitalization and fully typing out words like "u." It's in the rules.
  4. Needs pics. From what I know, a crack is usually the result of stress/fatigue.
  5. A crack?! Rust is one thing, but a crack is totally different. That's a BAD sign.
  6. Don't know what you're working with, but our barn has something like a 7' ceiling. It takes up very little room. Sounds like you've got it worked out though.
  7. How much room do you have to play with in front? I think something like this could work with some imagination, and because of the style of your walls, you could hide the gaps easily and not make it an eyesore. Is this space purely for storage? On my grandmother's barn (my storage space), the door simply slides up, like a garage door. Once again, you can make it look like anything you want. It is incredibly simple. There is a small track on the ceiling, and a latch at the front. There is a weight attached to the door by a cable. No hinges in the door, so you can pretty much just make the door yourself. For example, our door is some 2x4, and covered with steel roofing material. I'm not home at the moment, but if you think this would be a good option I can get more details, if need be.
  8. I'll agree with the smaller course load too. I am by no means the hardest working, or smartest person, and a far cry from being organized. I have pathetic time management skills, but I'm trying to do one thing at a time since I'm pretty much starting from scratch. BLOZ UP's high school story sounds familiar, but I did put a little more effort in. I can't imagine taking 18 credits a semester full of full on engineering courses. I'm taking something like 14-16 credits, the courses being College Composition II, Calc 1 (for the last time), Physics, and College Algebra, since I've forgotten a lot of it and it makes for a good GPA booster as well, which I desperately need. I could still study much harder, but I'm finding that putting in a fair amount of effort is resulting in some pretty decent grades. Not amazing, but still much better than ever before. And the real shocker? I'm kind of enjoying it. Sorry for the additional posts, but I am continuously being reminded of things that have either been a problem, or been to my benefit.
  9. White on brown? Just like my parent's 280Z, just different wheels. Don't think I've seen one like it until now. Good luck with your project!
  10. You might try going to a smaller school. I get the feeling you have pretty large classes where you don't even have a chance to meet with the professor. None of my classes have more than 40 people. Some of my teachers even know my name, depending on the way the class is taught. I don't really like my school but one thing I will miss about it is definitely the class sizes. Feels a lot like high school in that respect. I think larger classes would definitely be detrimental to your academic success. That no child left behind thing is BS. What ever happened to sink or swim? In the real world, or even college, late work won't fly. I don't get how that mentality could even be considered acceptable.
  11. Sounds like the problem isn't your major, but your school. Switch schools dude. I failed Calc twice, but that's because I was a dumbass and didn't go to class. Take it currently now, and I got a 90% on the first test, with a horrible teacher that wants us to show all our work. Pales in comparison to yours though. Sounds like UTAs engineering program is bullshit. Or at least their calc classes. As for the chem professor, I totally agree! I haven't had a teacher like, that, but a guy on another forum once told about a professor he had that didn't give As because they were reserved for perfection. I don't like professors thinking they're clever by having BS rules like that. It's really just stupid.
  12. You too? Haha. We had the timing wrong, it backfired through the carb, air filter caught fire.

  14. Apparently we're on the same track, I got my Z to fire today too! Congrats, since I know exactly how awesome the feeling is.
  15. Based on your goals for the car, I think you'll find yourself more at home on http://www.classiczcars.com/modules/Jig/index.php
  16. Looks great! Regarding the frame rails, looks into bad dog frame rails. I'm not sure if you cut out the original rusty ones though. If it were me, I think I would probably patch the rust on the original rails properly, and then put the bad dog rails over top of them, which they are designed for. Someone on here has a thread regarding that exact problem - whether to remove or replace the rails or not. I thought it was Proxlamus that made the thread but I couldn't find it.
  17. The TH400 is an auto thought and the owner wants a 5speed since he's more into road racing. Don't blame him. And no, based on what Tony D has said, I believe 650whp is not even close to the record for most power out of an L28ET.
  18. Now that you mention it, it might explain his absence.
  19. I'm with this guy! Save the clean original ones for the guys who want a stock one. They're only original once.
  20. Is it Sparky? I know his is a similar color. Paint looks fantastic, BTW!
  21. He was just asking a question, there is no need to attack him.
  22. With the new software, pictures are resized to a thumbnail of something like 500 by 500 pixels, with the option to click on them to see the original size. Unfortunately, it seems there is no longer a size restriction, so when I click on some (but what seems like most) of them, they end up being like 2500 by 2500 or larger. Since these ALSO all have to load at that size when I open the thread, I am finding this to be quite frustrating. In addition, when clicked, it appears the picture has its own box, with its own scroll bar, which I find a bit cumbersome to use. It would be much easier to just use the browser's side scroll like one would have to use on the old VB software. So, what I am asking is, can a maximum upload limit be put in place? I think a standard size of 1024 by 768 or something like that would be a good compromise.
