I've had good success with the stock brakes and good pads/fluid actually. Although I will be upgrading to rear disks and toyota 4x4 front.

^ thats a good point. If the rest of the car is mostly stock, having a leather dash or something like that would seem somewhat out of place. But would look good none the less. I'm also interested in how the dash turns out from that shop.

Thanks again guys. The radiator shop said $40, but suggested if I wanted to do it myself, that I use Denatured Alcohol. So that's what I did. Got a quart for about $7, put in in and then rinsed out with water. Worked pretty well. I assume that simple green probably would have worked very well too though.

that JATO C-130 was designed to land and take off out of a soccer stadium. They have also done unassisted take off and landings on an aircraft carrier in those things.

So I'm shipping a gas tank out via Fed Ex air, but they require that the gas tank not smell like gas. Its not a hazard, but still its a strict rule. Any ideas? I thought just letting some bleach sit in there for a while? Thanks!

What you have in your car now (assuming stock) is an R-200 longnose open diff. Probably the simplest diff swap would be the LSD out of an 87-89 300zx turbo. Search around the drivetrain forum though, and you'll find tons of other conversions, that can work pretty well.

I don't know how much drifting experience you have, but just as a heads up, it is going to be pretty different drifting this car, than say an S13. Things like not having as much steering angle, and sitting way back in relation to the car could be an interesting transition. Should be awesome to watch this project though. If you search the archives for Drift240z (i think is his name) he was trying to get pretty competitive with his Z, and there's some good technical info about solving some of the problems with drifting a Z. are you planning on getting an LSD...?
