^+1 It will be worth your while to buy a new seal, and not worry about the old one. chances are, with the old hardened rubber, the window will break trying to get it out. I would suggest taking a razor blade and carefully cutting through the rubber seal so no part of the rubber is over lapping the glass. Then you can easily lift it out of the hatch. Thats what I did anyway. -
where are you located? I have a pair from a 280zx R200. Cv axles.

good to know thanks! Sounds like this would have been good stuff to use for my project, but Im happy with how it turned out. I'd look harder for a welder though if i were to do it again.

Rear end still is smooth and perfect. No cracks or anything yet. Im really happy with how it turned out. I didnt picture it, but inside the rear end, where i fiberglassed over the holes, i sprayed almost a full can of 3m undercoating to protect it all. Seems to have worked.

That is awesome information! One question though. This was from the first link where he's explaining how to calculate CFM. But in the link Cygnusx1 posted, with the L28 example, he used 1728 in his equation. I would assume one of these two articles are in error, and probably the second. Does that mean the whole rest of the guide would be worthless? The concepts are great and still the same, but I would think the data would be un usable.
