  1. Im curious as to why? Synthetic oils are great, especially for high performance engines, as many L series engines are. Just wondering what your reasons are. Although like mentioned conventional oils are a good bet for engines that have seen the clock turn over a time or two. As for Royal Purple, I've heard a lot of conflicting reviews about it. It seems its an incredible oil when the engine runs perfectly. But cold/hot conditions and it likes to act up... I cant remember the reasons, but i think Supraforums had a whole thread about it.
  2. hmm it seems TonyD is the resident encyclopedia on all things old school for these cars. Might want to pm him, if he doesnt see this thread. I dont think there were too many production turbo kits, so probably should be able to track it down.
  3. There is a great sticky thread on the top of this page for all the different heads. It gives names, years, and pictures. Should prove useful.
  4. haha yeah they are the reference 3-ways. I'm running a decent alpine head unit, and there isnt much bass to speak of really. It gets good signal and power to the speakers, but I think a sub is needed to really get anything worthwhile for bass. I dont really mind though, cause personally I'm not too much into 'thumping' music anyway. Thanks for the comments!
  5. Super Autobacs in Yokohama, and any up-garage. Also there are a lot of awesome little speed shops if you ask around. One I visited was called 'speed shop turbo' and they had a MKIV supra and a nice R32 outside, and some good RB motor parts inside. Guy didn't speak a word of english though.
  6. Nothing that isn't obvious really. Just be sure that it is supported evenly when the glue or whatever you use is setting up. Also make sure that the whole dash cap is glued on the first time. I left the two sides (where the door would touch it) un-glued and figured i would get to it later. But because of that, now a lot of the dash cap is coming up, and I need to glue it down again. If you have the option, and the time...doing it on the dash out of the car would probably give the best results.
  7. she gets a point if she at least looks for the button to unlock your door. haha
  8. smart thinking... I probably would have just signed then cut them open.
  9. as far as MOST useful, i would agree with the batery tray area
  10. hmm looks like wmexpressway took them out of 'sticky' status on the forum. They are probably still available. You'll just have to look or search through the archives for episodes 1/2, 3/4, etc.
  11. looks like a security camera. And wow, I think both drivers are to blame as well, but the u-turn driver had to be totally oblivious.
  12. pm me what the injectors and cam gear are worth to you.
  13. well due to some rain and slightly warmer temps, we've lost some snow up in the PNW, but not enough to keep the subarus off of it Found a loading dock sort of place out by the airport that didn't close its gates, so went in there and drifted around a while with the family Forester, and my friend's WRX. I dont think the snowplows liked it too much though, cause they tried to plow us in. I love subies
  14. That's awesome Derek, Congratulations! It'll be nice to be able to stay close to home too. Remember don't slack off this spring who am I kidding....I did haha
  15. a pretty crazy winter. Im back in NW washington, after moving over the mountains from Spokane last week. Boy am I glad I got out of there when I did. A day or two later and I would have been stuck. haha. I've been having a lot of fun in it personally. Most of our cars my family drives are 4WD or AWD. Two subarus and a 4WD Tercel wagon. Took the Tercel wagon out a couple nights ago, tied a rope to the back of it, and snowboarded behind it around my friends neighborhood. Then went to my church's parking lot and hit some fresh snow there. what a blast!
