depends on your defenition of 'fast'. There's a 2+2 kicking up salt that is probably one of the 'fastest' z's out there. There was a thread about 1/4 and 1/8th mile times a while ago trying to find out who was fastest as well... I'll look for it

I'm pretty excited. I started working for an Airline a few months ago, which is based out of Las Vegas. Finally getting around to using my flight benefits and am flying down and meeting a friend there, spending a couple nights in the MGM then coming back. Should be a blast:mrgreen: This is my first time down there. I know a few of you live there, or might have visited before? Any suggestions? Probably just gonna stick to the strip, but I'm sure there's no shortage of sights and sounds.

Thats impressive the GTR's are going for 7k. When I mentioned about the GTS-T's is just what few car's I've seen on the Vancouver Craigslist.

plus, besides the smog and crash testing, the US has a 25 year cap on importing cars. So combining both of those and it's virtually impossible for the average buyer to import and legally drive a Skyline. The only way now is to find one that is already driving legally in the US. In Canada, they're a Dime a Dozen...and as such the prices are far less. Still the same story to import them though. Although, for $7k, most likely the cars you're seeing are GTS-T's and aren't really worth more than an S13 with a RB swap.

Looks like when I'm going to school in Grand Forks, I might be commuting at least once or twice a week to Fargo for work. Might be able to meet up with people around that way for lunch or what ever too.

hooooly crap. I cant believe I started thinking that just jumping up onto a platform was boring by the end of that vid!! Really well made video too. I can imagine a pretty fun stunt scene in a movie with a character like that. Imagine running from someone? haha no one would have a chance!

i know the Recaro speed's will fit in a 240z. What i'm planning on going with hopefully soon. I dont, however, know what modifications were required to get them to fit. Might have had to tilt the seat inwards a bit.

I ended up using a propane torch and was able to get it out that way. What a pain though. I'll be buying new ones when i do it next

on mine, I did it myself and used fiberglass/filler. I would have liked to weld it, but didn't have access to a welder at the time

It really depends on how good of a paint job you're looking for. 240hoke has a good writeup, and I think its a sticky on the installation of the ZG flares. As for the paint job, If you're just looking to get color on the car, you can always do a $500 maaco job. Research around a bit and find out which shop does good work. If you're looking for a show stopper, about $5k. And anywhere inbetween really. Personally, my paint job ended up being over $5k, but granted there was also quite a bit of work to do on it. However, that was also with me doing most of the blocking/sanding. Best thing to do would be to ask around about body shops, and go get quotes from them. Places like auto shops, parts stores, etc often have dealt with the local places and might have better info than joe down the street...

Doh'! I always thought 'e' was single cam and 'de' was twin cam. I guess just the 'd' means twin cam I'd love to learn more about the L28R though

I've heard you can get them fairly easily at military surplus stores... Havn't checked myself. I might grab a few though just to have if i can.

Good luck Br3nnan! That is tough to hear about. I certaintly hope your insurance puts up a good fight for you. Like said above, you did NOTHING wrong. Might even be cautious with saying things like "i locked up the brakes". Maybe "my brakes locked up" would sound better? Sucks dude. Keep us posted!
