  1. well, I went on a little test and tune tonight, open up my hood at a gas station... and I notice fuel dripping off of one of my rubber hoses on the fuel rail. I tighten the clamp down as far as it goes, and coat the whole thing with some extra silicone I had lying in the car. Seemed to contain it well enough, but just thinking about how the dripping could drip right onto the exhaust manifold, kind of scared me. So now Im on the hunt for an extinguisher to keep in the car. But I'm curious if anyone could explain the differences between CO2, Halon, and ABC? Also, by your experience, relative cost? EDIT: kept searching, and found this thread... a couple years older, but answered all my questions! http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=82904&highlight=fire+extinguisher *for anyone else who ends up finding this thread* cheers!
  2. actually...i don't think thats a "mock" anything. Looks to me he took a typical honda turbo kit, and only used the charge pipe and Front mount. I've seen that picture before, but it never ceases to impress me.
  3. black/blue looks pretty good on a Z I think. Any plans for how you're going to apply it? 2 tone top/bottom? fade in? Blue w/ Black trim? And as for the interior neons and such, thats just my opinion. I've seen them work alright...but its a tough call as to who you want to impress.
  4. Just say no. how old are you? just curious, cause I got my Z when i was about 17. Took a year until I realized that neon, graphics, interior neon, etc. was in fact....not cool. I was actually planning on buying that exact dragon graphic in all honesty, however embarrassing. Just wait it out. This phase will pass. Try looking around at more pictures of Z cars and find the things that really appeal to you. Theres been a TON of modifications to these cars, on this site alone, and I'm sure you'll find something tasteful that appeals to you more than a sticker.
  5. Looks great! i also agree about the font. Although it looks cool, I don't think it comes across very professionally.
  6. it does only have 9,000 miles on it... but yeah, not gonna get that asking price. I would have atleast cleaned up the engine bay a little better...
  7. by the shadows, and lighting, it looks like its a window the cars face towards. not much of a place for a person to get to, so i'd imagine it's automated of some kind. Haha, but imagine having to drive onto that for the first time at those heights!
  8. speaking of which, when do you want those back? lol. I havn't had them on the car in over a month, and have been meaning to call ya lol. We could all get together sometime maybe? i know theres a few of us this side of the state.
  9. i've had some pretty nasty burns from being a Lube tech.... stupid Cavaliers and their exhaust manifolds hiding the oil filter!! lol. Gotta think for a bit about any funny ones though.
  10. whoa, thats funny, when i saw that for some reason i thought rx-7... but had no reason to prove why. Go figure. My spidey senses are working!
  11. This whole thread is really intriguing to me. Looks like some real progress is being made. Awesome!
  12. i'm thinking along the lines of the rota RB aswell. I'd love to snag some watanabe's...but thats $2k(ish) that could go elsewhere in my car lol. I know what you mean about the color too. I had the color pictured in my head, but had no idea where to find it, until on a nice sunny day i saw a 350z drive by! haha. bingo! I think the rota's or the rewinds would look great on that car. The silver kinda calls for a gold center maybe? with a polished lip? maybe something like this...
  13. that looks really sharp derek!
  14. if you like guitar hero...you'll love this video!
  15. wiki lives up to his name! hehe The whole world around the wangan line really amazes me. A friend of mine joined the 200mph club there in his R32, when he was stationed there. And I got to, albeit in transit, visit the express ways while i was in tokyo in november. Really must be a fun experience.
  16. Search for the Devil Z or Wangan Midnight. SSS did indeed exist, however does not anymore. Tony D has a lot of information on this car, as i remember. And the car was not just tripple carbed, but twin turbo as well. Produced in the range of 600hp if i recall correctly.
  17. looks like a fun car. I can't remember is '84 an FB or FC? If it's an FB extra brownie points to you. lol... im a little bit of a rotary purist with the FC and FD's hehe
  18. geez now i'm jealous! I got to crawl around that same plane a year or two back, but didn't fly in it! Looks like a great time for sure. thanks for sharing!
