  1. Just when im figuring out the pattern....i have to be using a laptop touch pad boo. 17.something seconds
  2. Really? That sucks.... I go to Seattle all the time and am planning on putting fender mirrors on my car. Are they that easy to take off? /thread jacking. sorry.
  3. Yeah, thats what I wanted to do, but when I got the lip, i figured why not?
  4. I always liked the look of splitters and lip kits, and wanted my airdam just a little bit lower. I got a front lip from a '94 RX-7 from a friend and decided to modify it to work for me. It was in pretty bad shape, so I sanded it down with 120# working up to 800#. Then I sprayed a layer of black primer, and sanded again. And finished it off by rubbing "Back to Black" into the surface Finished. After my crash...fixed and painted airdam.
  5. Actually, i never thought i'd say this about a hyundai, but it should prove to be the next tuner sensation. Especially the turbo 4cyl coupe. Now that it's RWD, I really am excited to see this thing come to life. I always kind of wished the Tiburon was RWD, and now, more or less...IT IS!!
  6. The way I see it, If I get hit, I'm done for no matter where the impact is. So I guess I don't worry about it too much. But I would like to weld in a couple pieces of tubing between the gastank and the rear panel, just to give it a slight bit of added safety.
  7. is it just me, or do i see a bunch of positive camber on those front wheels?
  8. no they aren't subbed yet. OMFG is working on it.
  9. Thanks! Yeah the tires really are fantastic! I'm driving as little as possible, but when I do need to get somewhere, they've been very reliable. Not that im goin storming up mountains, but stuff like was in that picture, really isn't a problem, which impresses me quite a bit. I can see now why people don't mind using Z's as a winter DD...save for the rust lol Which is why, eventhough i've heard from a number of people they don't use salt here, I still try to wash her fairly regularly, and always spray underneath the car as best i can. (pull in, do-it-yourself places)
  10. haha yeah i did. Unfortunately the video didn't really turn out.
  11. yeah here in Spokane, its crazy. My first winter east of the cascades (other than upstate NY, and Canada). the piles next to our driveway are as tall as me now. Just got done shoveling another 6 inches....ugh. i think i need to add an entry to the "diary of a snow shoveler"
  12. Dude, you're gonna get treated on this forum in the same manner you present yourself. Present yourself mature and professional, and you get treated as such... I think a DEI system would nicely bypass the turbo all together, and get rid of your problems, providing infinite boost!! (for those of you who saw the epic thread a couple of months ago) Can you feel the turbo kick in at all? What size turbo is on there?
  13. ENTIRE row empty when i park. Park right next to the curb so there is only one possible place for someone to park next to me....and guess what when i come out??
  14. I had the same problem on my Z. Replaced the bulbs and they work great now! I cant remember if this helped the blinking problem or not, but I made sure both little bulbs in the back of the tachometer had a good connection. I think that just helped it blink faster though.
  15. interesting...somehow i always thought the e-brake switched sides on RHD cars... (thats how it is with the 240sx anyway)
  16. Actually it is true. However, on any car I value, changing the oil ever 3k miles with good synthetic and a good filter is the way I will go. I don't know much about that "double filter" setup, but I do know of a filter they make that is in fact good to around the mileage you mentioned. But you HAVE to run synthetic that is rated for that much mileage, and even then...well I wouldn't do it. *I used to work at a couple different Lube shops, and have heard all the oil myths. some are scary...* Similarly, never run long lasting synthetic oil without a good filter. Doesn't matter how long the oil is said to go, if the filter isn't any good after 3k miles, the oil will follow in close pursuit. Anyway don't think that helps this topic much, so in light of that....NICE CAR!! seriously, thats a beautiful find. I guess I'm a sucker for blue.
  17. I bolted a '81 280zx 5 speed right up to my F54 block. I believe the rear differential might be shorter in the 240's than the later years, and could require a new drive shaft. but you can find out if im right or wrong by checking out the archives.
  18. I used to work at a lube shop, where we mixed our own washer fluid. In a plastic barrel, about the size of a 55 gallon drum, we would put probably about 4-5 gallons of methanol, some blue dye, and then the rest would fill with water. I don't know much about commercial washer fluid products however.
