  1. Owen, I have the 94 Z28 FSM at home. I am heading out to the Colorado River tonight to pick up my new Z28, so I can get it tomorrow for you. Tim
  2. Owen, You said that the pakaging was the same as mine? If so, it's made by Precision Products (or something like that). Tim
  3. Sorry to post a reply and not answer your questions, but would it help to get a brand new set, and have them magnafluxed to check for cracks, then have them Cryo-treated. Heck, you live in Alaska, just leave them outside overnight Tim
  4. The passenger side is configured so that one of the bolts also goes through the chevy motor mount. Thus 2 bolts for the chevy mounts, 2 bolts for the JTR mounts and one bolt for both. The Drivers side has completely seperate bolts for each. hope that explains it. Tim
  5. Jeff, I bought a straight through serial cable and tested with an ohm meter to check ALL of the connectors on both sides of the cable. All was ok. Tim
  6. Richard, The name "Tri-Y" stems from the header having 3 'Y' sections. I have the 4 primaries (1.75") into 2 x 2.25", then those 2 x 2.25" into 1 x 3". Then I step it down at the exhaust side collector to 2.5" dual then 'Y' into 3" just behind the gearbox. I must admit that I am VERY, VERY happy with the sound. All I have is a Dynomax right at the rear of the car, and the sound is very mellow, and smooth. Absolutely no harshness usually associated with headers. Mind you, I have only tested under free-rev and idle because I haven't had it on the road yet, but I'm sure it's a sign of things to come. Tim
  7. What of fan shrowding, fan type, fan performance and probably most important, air movement through the radiator (or maybe it's going around the rad. at high speed.) Your soluitions above seem to be attaking the symptoms, not the cause. Tim Tim
  8. Prices here: http://www.rewarderheaders.com/ Shipping is what is gooing to kill you. I would try to find something local. I dropped off and picked up mine. Tim
  9. Just got my homemade Tri-Y's back from Rewarder Headers (great company btw...customer service is excellent!!) after being high temp coated. Here is a before picture: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and here it is now!! Looks wayy better in person, the picture does it no justice: Putting the engin back in for the final time this weekend!! Tim
  10. Best thing to do is to go your local Chevy Dealership and purchase a Factory Service Manual for your car. I got one for my Z28 LT1 and used that to wire the PCM to the car. The manuals are very very helpful. They are pricey, but the benefits down the road will definitely pay off....trust me on this one....it's worth it! Tim
  11. If your heads check out fine, then have a look at the intake manifold, that has coolant flowing through it too. Was there water in the lifter valley? Timb
  12. Look in the front of the MSA catalogue (I know you have one, right?!?!). It has a section on decoding Vin #s. Tim
  13. Maybe Misc. Tech?, or High Tech?, or even anouncements. A more appropriate post would include what you want out of the car, you personal technical skill, you budget (time and $$), and your predefined preferences. Tim
  14. Just the facts guys.....things are heading down the wrong path here. You both have valid arguments....at the end of the day, it's the buyer's responsibilty to ensure that he's putting a solid piece of engineering on his car (no pun intended). As always in life.....Caveat emptor!! Tim
  15. Please use the search function. Also, instead of posting single questions in specific forums, you would likely do better by posting a general question in a non-specific forum. It appears that you have no direction here and are grasping at ideas. Please use the search function first. When you have exhausted that avenue, then ask some specifics. Please feel welcome here at HybridZ, but remember, most questions have been asked and answered many, many times before, and if they haven't, then you're probably forging new territory.... Thanks, Tim

  19. I put one in my LT1 (in my 240Z). I used the Autometer Ultralite electrical. Comes with everything you need except for some wire for the sender to the gauge. I used a hole that already exists in the LT1 pan (for the low oil warning sender), but you're right, just drill a hole, thread in the fitting (with some good sealant), making sure that the sender is low enough to be in the oil. Tim
  20. Dan, (Hate to do this to you), but do a search. This topic came up a little while back and I seem to remember someone providing a source for these headers. Sorry I can't help you specifically as I made my own full length headers (which I am picking up this morning from Rewarder Headers....they high temp coated them!! Tim
  21. Alex, when are you actually gonna get going with the conversion.....enough talk now dude!! Tim
  22. Hint...don't look at HP, look at torque. Tim
  23. Haven't figured that one out yet. Still have to figure out why my megasquirt does get recognized by the PC I am going to keep the stock ignition setup for now. Maybe megaspark down the road. Tim
  24. If you're gonna come and look at my BOV, bring it with and I'll snap a pic for you. Tim
