  1. thanks for the photos 240z master, it looks to be a well built peice.... I will post a couple when mine arrives. I have another issue I will have to deal with on mine. I run a TEC2 ecu with a 8" (I think) trigger wheel. I will have to figure out a way to mount it to the new damper. This is how I have it set up on the oem RB26 damper, so I should be able to do something close to this. I just hate adding anything onto the ATI to "un ballance" it.... we'll see what happens....
  2. just upload pics to your HybridZ pic gallery, then just post us the link..... easy huh?
  3. Looks to me like some one may end up with a hunk o junk..... it appears to need a hole lot more work than he says it needs, for it to be useable. just my opinion
  4. WOW, who would have thought they would do that!! Sure makes that external pick up idea look more and more of a good idea, huh
  5. Hey fellow RBr's... ran across this start up site for us RB guys, its run by a regular off the 240sx and Nico forums, Jon Powell. Might turn out to be alot less candy a$$ BS you see on both those sites... I just hope he keeps it that way.... Check it out>>> http://www.racebread.com/
  6. Yea, I've got mine on the way since last post. BTW, which unit did you buy? as there are two models, the reg and a race version. The later comes with a alum W/P pully that requires a smaller belt, due to its larger dia. I belive its rated for 600+ hp. Do you (or anyone else for that matter) have a pic of theirs? and with it installed too..... thanks for the update joel
  7. This has to be at the top of my all time best looking Z body mods..... any other pics of it you have??
  8. upload the pics from your computer to your HybridZ personal photo gallery, then post us the link......
  9. I made a jig up to reach down inside the distributor hole and engage the oil pump slot, then ran the jig on a electical drill in reverse till oil squirted out the cam holes/ spray bar. You must temp remove the distributor and drop the oil pump to remove the drive gear. Then just put the oil pump back on W/O the drive gear, so that you can spin the oil pump with a drill, then once you have oil preasure, MAKE SURE TO PUT THE OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR back in properly, so that you can re alline the slot for the distributor to be timed correctly. All you need is something that will reach the slot in the oil pump, so that you can spin the pump to pre lube the motor.... hope this makes sense to you...
  10. Yes, Rick has in fact fixed the issue I had with the driver side mount. They continue to be a fine piece IMPO....

  15. I hear you on the SSautocrome one... it would only be as a spare, or something just to use till it cracks, at that price.. Have you asked Matt in Japan for any help on this?
  16. Have you given any thought to buying the material from Burns Stainless, and making/ having one made up?? Or.... you can try your luck with something like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33632&item=7980185782&rd=1&tc=photo
  17. Man that is a sweet lookin Z car.... I really like the color scheme. Is it your's Bartman?
  18. I belive any one can take any of the oil pumps and remove the freeze plugs from them, then tap for fittings.... Just so happens this one was bought slightly used, and may have had that done by the PO. Do you know if any of them come tapped and plugged new Matt??
  19. From the album: RB26dett powered Z car

this makes using a alum oil pan a breeze...
  20. Good deal Sparks... to tell the truth, its been a while since I did them, and I may have chose a different hole to start also. I was looking at my seats last night from the open deck lid (to try and get a pic for Matt) and noticed that my seats do infact hug the door side more than the consol side, so I musta went with the way you installed them, for them to end up the way they did. Matt, I think you will need to do them like I first suggested, to hug the consol, or the seats will be tight up against the doors a tad..... (I'm still working on a pic for you) As far as fastners, yea, its tough getting to them, and tightening them down...
  21. Thanks Matt, I will use the largest dia. AN fitting that will fit. The only problem I have noticed so far is, that dam A/C comp bracket being in the way.... it's allways in the way of something... haha, but I GOT TO HAVE IT !! I will try to drill a hole thru the A/C bracket to allow access to the tapped oil passage on the new pump. In the pic below, it will be the hole on the driver side that I want to use for drawing oil from the pan. I will need to either tap and block off the pick up hole on the block, or better yet, I think, is to take the pump in to a machine shop and have a recess milled into the supply hole, slightly larger, and shallow, to where I can epoxy a flat washer into the recess to keep the pump from trying to draw oil from that area of the block, and instead draw it thru the removed tapped plug and thru the new pick up in the pan..... Whata ya think about that idea???
