  1. It don't look that bad in the pic of it inside the plastic sheath. Can you get a good pic of it outside of the plastic?
  2. If you email them to me, I'll post them if its ok with you. If not, please email them to me just to look at.... boosted260z@yahoo.com thanks joel
  3. Wow!! I had no idea there is such a trans.... I wish I was in your shoes, I'd buy it.... I'd like to see that animal. Do you have pics, or a link showing it?? Sorry for the mix up.
  4. Forrest, is the metal kinked anywhere? if not, I would use it. Just a bow to it won't hurt anything...
  5. Forget it unless your going AWD.... its a huge AWD trans with a rather large bulge sticking out the side of it (tranfer case). They only came in the late model R34 GT-R and you will pay dearly for one. Just buy yourself a RB25det trans and you'll be ahead in the parts game...
  6. Here they are on my 1st gen Z Yes, they fit on OEM X member
  7. I Don't Like It.... because of the price they will try and charge you for the "kit". If you have no means other than McKinney, I guess you'll have to buy it.
  8. oh.. ok. does that bar thingie go up inside the trans tunnel? or does it hang down waiting to catch something? also, still on the trans mount:, what does everybody think about the weight of motor/trans being dependent on those single bolts to hold up the back end weight of the motor, and all the weight of the trans?
  9. haha.... I'd like to know what that long thing is used for?? with one bolt hole on each end at that? Is this supose to fit a 240z??
  10. Every Mc Donalds in my town has computers to use for free. I used them many times to log on to HybridZ when my computer was down....
  11. Everything I've heard said about any of that china copy cat junk is just that.... junk.
  12. Real nice stuff there Forrest.... oh, where do you park your car at night over there in B.R. ??
  13. I think TimZ has the BHJ damper also, and I know he is using the TEC2 on his monster turbo L6. Maybe he will see this thread and chime in....
  14. That is one odd looking diff. I've never encountered one like that before. Hope someone can ID it for you.... Good luck joel
  15. Yes, it will fit in a 240z, but will require alot more fab work to use the short nose R200, and the 5 bolt shafts, compared to the regular R200 LSD from the Z31 serries turbo Z cars. If you can make yourself up a front diff mount for it, and tackle the 1/2 shaft issues, you can make it work....
  16. I like this free upload service >> http://imageshack.us/ <<< better than photobucket. I've tried them both and find Image Shack to offer more...
  17. Why does that look like a R230 to me? Look at the difference in size of the open non lsd R200 ring gear, compared to the one on the viscious carrier...
  18. If I remember correctly, the 280zxt with auto trans got the uprated pump....
  19. Your welcome Forrest! Us southern boys look out for one another...
  20. I emailed him on that $60 ship cost, he said he made a mistake and will fix it.....
  21. I just saw this on ebay, and I know it will go fast at a buy it now of $100 Better grab it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/280z-turbo-1mm-HKS-NISMO-metal-head-gasket_W0QQitemZ7993396415QQcategoryZ33553QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  22. Be very carefull with those "JDM IMPORTERS" from Canada!! If you see or hear the name OSAKA mentioned, turn and run. They sent me a RB26 motor set for $3,000 shipped, and it was 100% thrashed. The only part I could use was the bare block (after a 1mm bore job). Take it from someone who's been down that road.....
  23. I just happened to have a pair I'll be using on my new gauge / dash install. I went out a snaped these pics for you, hope it helps... CLICK ME
  24. That don't make any sense to me. Every probe I've ever had, had a threaded portion that goes into the manifold / turbine housing etc. Both of the parts you discribe "should" be threaded in my opinion. Maybe you received a part that missed the threading in the machining process??
