There are many Z guys that have used the LD28 crank in their turbo set ups, including myself. You can find one almost weekly on www.ebaymotors.com

I had to bump this old Walbro fitting thread' date=' because while searching on the Walbro, I saw this link that dmanzo57 provided, and feel that others will need the fittings this place provides for the Walbro pump (metric fittings) that are hard to find. I just ordered two of the 128-3040 [img']http://lib1.store.vip.sc5.yahoo.com/lib/fuel-pumps/FittingImages.JPG[/img]

oh for sure... one 25' roll will be plenty for one Z's supply and return.

Hi Mike, I added a post to a fuell cell thread awhile ago trying to find out what pump most use. I have a Peirberg, but it dosen't allow AN fittings on both ends. Do you have the Walbro pump already? Does it have npt threads in both ends for AN style fittings?
-
Right now I'm using a Peirberg pump that has held up great with my last L6 turbo set up, but I'm wanting to use another pump so that I can use all AN fittings coming off the pump. The Peirberg does not allow this due to it having just a inlet that requires a efi hose and worm drive clamp. It's a shame, because I have another new one of the same model put up as a spare, and if I could, I'd plumb both from my new fuel cell with -8 AN fittings, and would never have to worry about enough volume... So now, my question is, what efi fuel pump are you guys with big fuel demands using? Keep in mind, it must have access to use AN fittings on the inlet and outlet. I've seen the brand "Walborro" thrown around alot in many posts, here and on other sites. Anybody with first hand experince on the Walborro? Or can you recomend a pump that will support aprox 6-7 hundred hp if I ever get there.... So in short, I have to change pumps due to the fitting restriction on the Peirberg, and I'm looking for help choosing a single, or pair of pumps that will accept -AN fittings... thank you joel

I got a 100% junk 90 R32 RB26 motor set from Osucka. The motor was beyond belief, that a company could do a customer like they did me. After many ph calls they refunded 1/2 my $3,000 and sent me a 98 R33 RB26 motor, in very good cond. for $2,000. So, I spent $3,500 for two RB26's, one good, one for parts (only thing usable was block,head, with lots of detonation repair) I got James Thagard a RB26 for $2,000 delivered... and it turned out to be ok. I would'nt trust them again myself....

I went ahead and bought all electrical gauges. They cost more, but they are a lot cleaner of a install, and to me easier. I'm sure your aware of the difference between the two? You just need to decide if you want a oil line running inside of your cabin, etc. As far as the fuel sender, I can't answer that one. Are you still using the stock tank/sender? If so, some one here that has been there, done that, should be able to help you out on which ohm gauge works close to our oem senders. Hope this helps... good luck joel

No disrespect intended, but..... Why don't you start a R200 LSD thread and ask these questions? This poor guy is trying to get R180 info here... j.

Well, after fighting this air con bracket for clearnce, I finally got the right combination of fittings to clear everything. I bought a $39.00 3/4 ntp male -12 hose end to screw directly into the pump, but the radius on the 90 deg part was to much. I ended up using a strait 3/4 -12 fitting with a tight radius 90 deg -12 hose fitting... Now its time to do the fittings/pick up on the alum pan to hook this all up to. CLICK J.

Thanks for the pics. I belive I'll have a little more clearnce due to it being a 15 gal cell vs your 20 gal... I really like the frame you built. I may try something like that.

Sounds like your in a good position for a raise right about now....

Hi Wagz' date=' I see in this other photo from your website that you pointed the sump (pick up) to the rear of the car. Would this be a mistake to point it to the front to hide the lines, since it has a 2" sump, it shouldn't starve for fuel on a street car. Also, looking inside the cell, I see that the sump is partioned off with foam also, so it should work either way huh?? [img']http://marcsgarage.net/albums/FuelCell/IMG_0451.sized.jpg[/img]

I just received my Summit alum powdercoated 15 cell today. I like the way you guys have done them, and I think there should be a sheet metal cover of some sort covering it, just to give a little more protection in case of an accident on the street. That may not be the way I end up doing it though... I think I will just cut out the spare tire well, then lay a peice of sheet metal to cover the hole rear area, then trace out the cell for the new hole. Any other pics would sure help from you guys that have installed them already.... hint-hint... thanks joel

You want to use the washer, as they are on some but not other stubs. I can't explain why some have them and some don't, but it is that way on my 74. One side had it and the other did not...

2JZGE = n/a 2JZGTE = TT if I'm not mistaken...

Well thats pretty silly, considering 1yr's worth of 1st gen Z cars came with that design, and the other 7 yr's had the bolt thrugh design....

WOW!! that is going to be one bad Z.... Good job on the mounts!! Keep the pics coming...
