I just spent all the time my body would allow me to this a.m. removing all the intake and exhaust manifolds, and parts that were temporarly put on the motor for the return trip back to me. James did a nice job on fabbing it all up for me, then installed it all temporarly. I will reinstall it all back sooner or later, but with all the Tomei metal gaskets. I also did this work today so that I could mark the area on my air con comp bracket, that needs a hole drilled thru it to allow the external oil pick up fitting. Its going to be fairly easy from what I see. Then I still have to remove the new reg oem oil pump on it now, to replace it with the Greddy oil pump... After I bore the hole in the bracket, I will snap a pic for the archives, in case others may want to do this later down the line.... As far as the ATI damper, mines a off the shelf one now also, its just the race version rated a bit higher rpm than the one below it. I would have just bought that one, cause I'm not planing on using this motor to its potintial. I can't see needing this version dampner, its just James got them at a fair price since he bought in bulk, so I got it for the price of the lower rated damper. I may be able to do as you are with the trigger wheel, since I will not need the outer pully. I hope to mount it there, its just the ballance part that worries me with adding the wheel to a ballanced damper....

thanks for the photos 240z master, it looks to be a well built peice.... I will post a couple when mine arrives. I have another issue I will have to deal with on mine. I run a TEC2 ecu with a 8" (I think) trigger wheel. I will have to figure out a way to mount it to the new damper. This is how I have it set up on the oem RB26 damper, so I should be able to do something close to this. I just hate adding anything onto the ATI to "un ballance" it.... we'll see what happens....

Looks to me like some one may end up with a hunk o junk..... it appears to need a hole lot more work than he says it needs, for it to be useable. just my opinion

Yea, I've got mine on the way since last post. BTW, which unit did you buy? as there are two models, the reg and a race version. The later comes with a alum W/P pully that requires a smaller belt, due to its larger dia. I belive its rated for 600+ hp. Do you (or anyone else for that matter) have a pic of theirs? and with it installed too..... thanks for the update joel

Man thats one clean install..... its beautiful !!!!!!

I made a jig up to reach down inside the distributor hole and engage the oil pump slot, then ran the jig on a electical drill in reverse till oil squirted out the cam holes/ spray bar. You must temp remove the distributor and drop the oil pump to remove the drive gear. Then just put the oil pump back on W/O the drive gear, so that you can spin the oil pump with a drill, then once you have oil preasure, MAKE SURE TO PUT THE OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR back in properly, so that you can re alline the slot for the distributor to be timed correctly. All you need is something that will reach the slot in the oil pump, so that you can spin the pump to pre lube the motor.... hope this makes sense to you...

Yes, Rick has in fact fixed the issue I had with the driver side mount. They continue to be a fine piece IMPO....

I belive any one can take any of the oil pumps and remove the freeze plugs from them, then tap for fittings.... Just so happens this one was bought slightly used, and may have had that done by the PO. Do you know if any of them come tapped and plugged new Matt??

Good deal Sparks... to tell the truth, its been a while since I did them, and I may have chose a different hole to start also. I was looking at my seats last night from the open deck lid (to try and get a pic for Matt) and noticed that my seats do infact hug the door side more than the consol side, so I musta went with the way you installed them, for them to end up the way they did. Matt, I think you will need to do them like I first suggested, to hug the consol, or the seats will be tight up against the doors a tad..... (I'm still working on a pic for you) As far as fastners, yea, its tough getting to them, and tightening them down...
