  1. If that's the case, then my TEC3r standalone ECU should have no problem controlling it
  2. Great solution. Long as the adhesive stays on both sides of your Velcro, I'd say your golden....
  3. We'll see how things turn out. I'm no different than anyone else who buys on ebay. You take your chances. One thing is 100% though, I will not loose a penny on this purchase. I use my AMEX card when I buy off ebay BTW, I would use the same pics too if I had more than one to sell, so that does not alarm me Everything will work out... watch.
  4. I emailed and asked about this. Here is the response back.. "Dear rb26powered74zcar, I have two more, I will get your shipping info when I get home. It was to be picked up this afternoon. -malakanhi"
  5. Thanks for your positive post. I don't think it will turn out like that.
  6. I hate to stir up the pot again, but if this can help, well I'm all for it. I saw this auction on eBay, which shows a pic of a tri pod roller bearing that looks like what we may be able to use (IF it's the larger one). I don't have the exact info, but I'm hoping one of you smarter than I folks can take this a run with it. The picture of the tri pod looks promising... This is what I do know: This is a pair of 1g AWD Turbo shafts DSM 1G Turbo Shafts AWD Front, Laser, Talon, Eclipse http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230359726826&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  7. Dang, I gave away about 200 of them not long ago, to a local Z friend (member here also). I can ask him if he'd help you out, and get back to you...
  8. Good to have others offering alternatives to very expensive pans. I ended up with a sweet custom from R.I.P.P.S., and paid dearly for it, but I think they can be done cheaper here in the states. As you know, it don't mean squat how the outside lokks, just get the inside right, and the angle, and you will have the customers.
  9. Have you thought about adding a drain fitting to your pan? That's what I did when I added a turbo in the beginning...
  10. Your going to have to offer up more info on what you have now before anyone can begin to offer you any advice....
  11. Not sure about the joke part, but yes, you can remove the front nose flange (yoke?) from your 280z's R200, and install it on the 84 R200.
  12. I think I see a oil pressure solenoid in the next to last pic. This may be interesting.. My Tec3 can control extra devices via a user controlled table, so after I have a look at it, I will ask the resident Tec3r guru over on the Electromotive forum http://electromotivetec.freeforums.org/index.php?sid=8b54c6e16e624395d48caca572a6b435
  13. Ahhh... well, looks like I'll be flipping it then. I just couldn't believe the price so I took a chance. I bet the seller is slightly peed off.
  14. Thing is, can it be made to work w/o the needed controls...?.
  15. Don't ask me what I'm going to do with it...lol Hell, I don't even know what it really is. I'll just have to wait and see once I get it, but to pay $167 for a brand new genuine Garrett turbo, I think I did ok... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140340255735&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  16. No offence to anyone here, but if you want to buy something worth going thru all the trouble of retrofitting, go to this site http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/index.php?sid=9cd8f2efceecaffc879f4b657510db49 and check out the classifieds. There is no ebay "magic" "HID" junk sold there. There is all the info you need to know on how to put together a projector/ballast/bulb to make you grin with delight when finished....
  17. I did the exact same thing to my pass side CV. It jumped out of the cage like yours did, and flopped around, throwing off two of the three rollers. The shaft is actually to short. I ended up making a 1/2 spacer to put between the companion flange and the CV cage... problem solved.
  18. At least the right guy's are getting the job!! Congratulations Red...
  19. There was two. One version that had tapped and plugged fittings for a diff cooler, then there is the version you see on most 87-89 Z31 CLSD's sold on ebay....
  20. Have you looked on the TEC forum. I think there is a calibration section on there. Not sure whats been added to it, if any, but check it out if you haven't already. http://electromotivetec.freeforums.org
  21. Start saving for that trans upgrade your going to need...
  22. You are one lucky man!! What more could a gear head ask for in life. Loving every minute of every work day from now on.... Enjoy it, and be thankful you are where you are right now. Many a person I'm sure, only wishes they could achieve what you have right now!! Good luck!!
