Personally... when I'm ready to do the install of my 4;11 clsd from the R32 GT-R I have, I will be just having the axle center bar's cut down on one end, then have the splined ball bearing race portion that's inside the inner cv's (I'll still be using 4 inner cv sets as needed), pinned and welded on the axle bar (to save on re-spline/ new shortened center bar's) on one end, then reassemble.... I have a pair of MMS R230 6 bolt companion flanges that fit the 280z stub axles, so this shouldn't be to gawd awfully expensive of a swap going this route....
  2. You will have to use the 6 even bolt input stubs that come on the GT-R R32 CLSD. That means you will have to either make up your own axles, or buy a set up from Modern Motorsport made for the R230 Z32tt diff swap (uses same 6 bolt pattern).

  4. Just put a large round drift into both holes on the fitting and turn back and forth while pulling upward... they are pressed in. Or... like I did, from underneath, use a large drift to pound it out.

  9. It's held on with a c clip in groove. If you place the center axle bar in a vice, then get a heavy sledge hammer, you give it a good swift whack and she'll pop off. Be sure the rubber boot clamps are removed, and the boot slid out of your way. Good luck!!

  11. I'm in the midst of purchasing the ViPEC v88. I have been talking via phone to a dealer up in Canada, and looks like I am real close to pulling the trigger and buying it.... Watching this thread with interest!!
  12. All you'd have to do is wire the injs differently, and add a cam trigger. I'm running full sequential. Edit: Sorry, can't remember now if I had to do any changes to the DFU wiring to go full seq.

  14. Hmmm... got me thinking now . I was under the impression that it was minor differences that could be upgraded easily... Wasn't the main difference just to do with the idle control? Please don't tell me the Tec3 can't do sequential, and the Tec3r can... that would really prove me wrong... Please, if I'm not correct on this, forgive me and let's get the right info posted!!

  16. I have a perfect cond. Walbro GSL 392 external efi pump I just pulled from my car. I upgraded to twin Bosch 044's. $60 shipped.
  17. I have a single T4 manifold, and have been thinking about it... just got to pick up a turbo I guess. I just wonder if putting a merge pipe between the two manifolds would stop that from happening.
  18. I'm talking about remove the air filters, put hand close to compressor wheel (intake), and feel hot air blowing out of the compressor housing where the air filter goes. It alternates back and forth between both turbos while at idle, making a hissing noise. I don't know what it's doing while driving it though....
  19. OK I HAVE A 280ZX AND I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEO RB25DET MOTOR. I NEED TO KNOW IF A TRANSMISSION OFF THE RB20DET WILL FIT JUST FINE INTO THE NEO RB25DET? Same bolt pattern, yes. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING YET I'M STILL IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING EVERYTHING ELSE I NEED TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SWAP COMPLETE. ALSO WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS IF THE Z31 200ZR OIL PAN (REAR SUMP) OFF THE RB20DET IN THE Z31 WILL FIT INTO THE NEO RB25DET? OR WILL I HAVE TO GET SOMETHING ELSE? Same bolt pattern, yes. I STILL NEED TO GET THE INTERCOOLER WITH PIPING, I WANT A APEXi N1 DUAL MUFFLER, LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL (R200) OR IF SOMEONE CAN ADDRESS ME TO WHERE I CAN GET ONE SENCE MY CAR IS ONLY A 1 WAY DIFFERENTIAL. eBay maybe...

  21. I don't think those guys know what the heck they are talking about. The Tec3 is far from obsolete. All thats needed is send it in and have a simple upgrade done to make it the same as the Tec3r, which also is far from obsolete!! $1,500.... I don't know. I would watch eBay to see what they go for. I bought my Tec3r, with all you are advertising, plus I bought a spare 3 coil DFU, and another complete harness set for less than $1,500, brand new.... Give it a go... see how it goes. You can always lower your price...
