  1. Pics? Need maybe a slide hammer, body working hammer, drill, nails, welder, sanding block and sand paper, ect.
  2. I think the hardest part would be to find a suitable front suspension for the awd and graphing it onto the (to be) tubular frame. And turboing an engine that already have a 10:1 compression might not be a good thing (though you may already know). If you do, you might have to ONLY run race fuel, since if I recall the svx's only like to run and premium fuel, non turboed. And in what means are you going to pass inspection? The EG33 was never turboed IIRC. There are A LOT of things to consider when going a swap, especially a awd swap. Not saying "Don't do it", but just acting as the word of caution. Plan plan plan and measure twice and cut once .
  3. Can you use a aftermarket motorcycle Speedo on a car, if it has a digital sender? Reason is. I have a 240sx tranny and don't want the hastle of trying to fit the 240sx guages in there. How have the guys that didn't use the SX gauges over come this problem and what did you guys use?
  4. EDIT: Just saw the vids. Lol, it was the same site as mentioned above. If it was done in US, it would be a felony charge I believe.
  5. Doesn't that guy look like the guy that from another "forum criminal" posted a while. Involving a car accident and the guy fleeing and a bystander taking a couple of photos with some hi res camera?
  6. wouldn't mind building a l4 version. Would want to use something less volatile like rubbing alcohol instead of butane. And using a carb. But doing all that with PVC.... I think its pointless in hind sight. Ah~ love make magazine.
  7. Huh? Torque converter? lol
  8. I had an older model too. Another complaint, It doesn't like being in the cold for too long. Had to get it replaced 3 times.
  9. check for spark plugs, rotor cap and wires. Same thing happend with my jeep. if its 280zx turbo or newer, could be the CAS.
  10. Haha too bad I'm gonna be spending it outside of the country lol.
  11. I want one. For my cars that is. Freakin batcave lol.
  12. I got $1101 back, and I recently got a think in the mail saying that I'm getting another $600. I don't get it, but I don't care, because I'm getting paid biatch LOL.
  13. Usually the most common issue is with the Air flow meter sensor. Just clean the connector and contacts and on the ecu too. remember to disconnect the battery when doing this.
  14. Old post. technically illegal under distraction to other drivers.
  15. Whats that tube, running the length of the exhaust side for? http://www.tomitaku.com/works/tc24/03eng/index3.html
  16. WHOOOAA. lol I never get tired of your vids. keep them coming
  17. BTW. what is the authorised thickness and diameter of tubing allowed by sanctioned bodies? And does it matter if its rolled or extruded (as far as regs go).
  18. Anybody have the issue of going to http//www.ebay.com (how its spelled exactly) and it popping up with a login and password 'window' asking for them? Does the samething with paypal., with firefox(both normal and beta 3 versions) and IE
  19. Its not only that, welding mutiple pieces together that could be done with a single piece is more dangerous. With the loop being made from a single piece, you don't have to worry about the metal "around" the welds sheering off and stabbing you. Its not the welds themselves (if done properly) its the metal base metal around the welds being treated differently then the unaffected base metal and the welds themselves. I believe that it would fail SCCA inspection (just a guess) because of that and where/how its mounted. (admins chime in to tell me if I am wrong).
  20. Checking fuel and spark: Have a buddy spray starter fluide (not charcoal, engine starter fluid) while you crank the engine. If it catches and dies, spark is good, and problem is fuel. If it doesn't catch, then its and/or spark, fuel. Checking spark: disconnect a plug wire, while a buddy cranks, move the end of the wire closer to teh plug and see if a spark arcs across, might need to be in a dark place
  21. EDIT: sorry ment to type 350 degrees and thats with a torch (it will be pretty stiff still, depending on type of plastic.), if your usng a convection type heating than 450 degrees
  22. lol. nope no water cooling. my comp is overclocked like no ones business but its also like 4 years old. I just don't get why there has to be so many lights in 'high end" pc's now-a-days. Only real physical mod I did to my comp, is throw in a fan that won't fit inside my case. its as big as the PSU and sticks out an inche out of the chassis. And my monitors. lol its a mess. (I can never say no to fre lcd monitors). 2 of which have burnt out/missing cathode inverters. One of which works. So I have 3 montiors sharing a cathode inverter, all electric taped and zip tied to a wooden frame, held together in the same fashion.
  23. I wouldn't advice in using a torch around acrylic, inless you are extremely skilled. acrylic starts to bubble around 250 degrees (cheap Home depot stuff and high end acrylic PC cases, and sub boxes from experience) The guys on mythbusters used a rig similar to what I mentioned above. What you are looking for as far as a heating element is concerned is chromium (or nickle chromium, I don't remember) found in toasters or other heating appliances. older the toaster the thicker the wire is. Well actually I think you might be able to get away with using a space heater. Make a frame to hold the plastic, suspend it. Heat it from the top, then lower it onto the form on top of bench with a hole cut into it for the vac. the turn on the vac.
