  1. I would advise against brazing. the brass can eat away at the steel over time (or so I've heard). and using a torch, even though brazing uses lower temps than welding with a torch, it will cause the metal to warp
  2. Why not just use bondo and mix in some fiberglass resin? They use the same catalyst
  3. maybe PVC piping cut up and glued together. Much cheaper, more work and harder to fit.
  4. http://www.trendpimp.com/media/1434/The_Ugliest_Car_In_The_World.html
  5. Not sure if this was mentioned (just kinda skimmed through the thread) How did you solve the problem with the speedo? IIRC the speedo on the s15 6peed was located on the diff.
  6. That is an actual body kit that a manufacturer in japan use to sell. The Kit is not interchangeable with an actual Z. Just to clarify.
  7. Dirty Rice Brown Rice Fried Rice Cajun Rice Now I'm hungry
  8. get a metal shaping dolly and a rubber or raw hide mallet and go at it.
  9. Most likely what they did was rehash the scene from when he was driving the z31, I'm assuming.
  10. I am assuming that this is for a first gen Z. Once the rivets are removed, you need to undo the nuts that hold on the whole tail light assembly. The lights themselves, are attached to the panel that you are trying to remove.
  11. I know the flywheel will fit
  12. Not quite understanding me. Basic stamp 2 is a programmable micro processor that can be programmed using basic on a computer. the effect I am going for is a scanner effect light something like knightrider, but just in once motion. As far as PCB goes. If you are designing your own board, then you can cut it any shape you want (as long as its flat) What I'm using to design my board is Eagle CAD. http://blip.tv/file/get/Make-MakeYourOwnPrintedCircuitBoardsOnALaserPrinter873.flv BTW. does anyone know what the ligth sequence is on the tail lights (like upper are turn signals, bottom = brakes, white are reverse. ect.) There is a dual filiment bulb on the upper one towards the center. I need to Know what triggers the high and low on that one. Thanx
  13. Just to clarify. What is the offest of the stock wheels (wheel dimensions also). I understand that the size of the suggested offset needed will change according to the width size and inner wheel diameter.
  14. Just to clearify. The LED lights I'm building are going to have a scanner effect to them. So collums of LEDs lighting up in phase from the inside out on all 4 corners. I'm etching my own PCBs and programming everything myself using Basic2 stamp chips. EDIT: I, also didn't find the thread mentioned earlier
  15. Another example of a lot of great ideas, but all jumbled into one massive horrible mess. (ex. chevy aztec )
  16. So what is the best way to remove the lenses off a 280z? I'm trying to produce a working model LED replacement panel. If it bolds well I might be selling these. After field testing of course.
  17. Naw. but thanks anyways. I'm gonna go with some cheap bike mirrors.
  18. Just as the title says. This is for the first gen Z. Prefferably with a 30 offset.
  19. What Guage sheet should I make my pan? I'm making mine from scratch.
  20. Now, that is with the front edge of the hood alligned with the headlight buckets? Just asking for clarification. they might of added an inch so you could trim it off. But IMO an inch of trimming on a FB piece is alot. I would still send it back.
  21. I would of sent them back and had them send clean ones. Or at least asked if they had a cleaning service, since you bought it from them.
