  1. It still does not address how you are going to run your IC piping. As the hole you are using for your CAI is perfect for the IC plumbing. Yasin
  2. Cool thanks for the heads-up, I will have to pick up a copy. Yasin
  3. Ken can really really drive, he totally has a cool appearance and he is controlling 500+whp power sliding. I am amazed at how close he comes to certain things, like the edge of the sea and keep it all together. How much practice does that take - cripes?!?!? Cool touch with the water balloons and the fluorescent light bulbs and neat to see Rob Dyrdek in the vid too. Amazing.....my hope is that some kid will not try and copy this and end up huritng or killing themself. Yasin
  4. Fabric mesh..not wire mesh...sorry I should have been more clear. Yasin
  5. Looks great Adam. Most people will not realize how tough it is to polish these valve covers unless they try it for themselves. The NA valve covers are worse due to the casting, so thank your lucky stars in that regard. Mothers will only take out very very minor surface imperfections. The best way to polish these things is to take out the surface casting marks, scratches etc with a fine mesh wheel on a die grinder then use a powerful grinder (lots of rpm and amps), the buffing wheel and several stages of clay compound. Its all in the prep. Good job! Yasin
  6. + 1..you do not have enough injector for 15psi. I had every bolt-on on a Z build from Walbros to Aeromotive FPR to custom exhaust to big intercooler and at 12psi was the limit on the stock injectors. Great torque numbers and there is no reason you cannot run a larger injectors with the JWT set-up, after having the ECU reprogrammed accordingly to match. Good luck - Yasin
  7. Yes the stock downpipe is 3" I will take some pics and post it. Good point on shifting at 5k. Some interesting conversation here. Regards- Yasin
  8. Wow beautiful..you got me thinking..hmmmm! Checking eBay right now for a set. Yasin
  9. There are very few surviving Datsuns in the Province of Quebec! Let alone one as nice as yours. Congrats on a great car and keeping it out of the terrible weather. Yasin
  10. It would be near impossible to run a 3.5" downpipe and so I kept the stock downpipe. Mind you, Jon cleaned and ported the inside of the downpipe as it is a cast piece, paying attention to the area around the Oxygen sensor (using a die grinder). The stock downpipe is already 3" so a large diamenter. I do not like those Glass packs, Cherry Bombs, they are old '60 technology and I woiuld never recommend them. +1 to Jeffer's statement. Yasin
  11. Guys - A few weeks ago I went to the dyno with my bone stock grandpa owned low mileage '83 5speed 280ZX Turbo. I pulled this on the dyno, the car was making 6psi of boost: I then had a beautiful mandrel bent 3.5in exhaust made for me by the very talented Jon Vigil and used a Burns muffler. The Good News: Car felt fantastic with the new exhaust so and went back to the dyno today to see how much hp just adding the exhaust alone gave me..I was surprised I picked 25whp (!!) and 11wtq (ft.lbs)..with the new system the boost crept up 1psi to 7psi. I was actually shocked and pleasantly surprised so thats about 30 flywheel hp and 12 flywheel torque gain. Goes to show you what a difference a well thought out and designed system will yield. The Bad News: I am still having a problem with the car in that it starts running lean from 4,500 to redline (look at my AFR curve), it goes from the mid 10s to mid 12s. Almost as if there is a fuel delivery problem. I changed the fuel pump to a replacement Carter unit thinking that the factory pump was on its last legs, but that did not change anything. Any ideas? I am going to next try: 1) Blowing out the fuel lines, make sure there are no clogs. 2) Change the fuel filter again 3) Install a fuel pressure gauge to see if the pressure drops as the rpms and load on the motor climbs. 4) Clean the wiring at the fuel pump Should I try another AFM and ECU? What about the factory FPR? Any other thoughts? I am still working on my white ZX Turbo trying to finish it up, made some great progress with it this weekend. Thanks - Yasin
  12. That red car intrigues me...more pics please! Someone spent some $$$ on it at some point. Yasin
  13. I like clear and the smoked look...on a black car smoked would look great. Yasin
  14. Bleach - The car looks amazing! Beautiful. I like the suspension mods you are doing as well, good choice on upgrades (just visited your site). Yasin
  15. You can buy a re-man. unit with lifetime warranty for less than $150. Yasin
  16. Ok here are the pics again! Thsi works on all L28 engines regardless E or ET and it is a significantly hotter spark and more compact design. I am believer in this conversion. Regards -Yasin
  17. Here is how I did mine on the stock bracket..old photo: Yasin
  18. Wow... very cool and cheap!! I just bought an EGT probe from DIY EFI and it was $40 alone. Mounting that unit might be tricky though? Yasin
  19. David - Good link bro! That car must be worth "silly" money! It is a neat blend of curves and lines but not necessarily all flowing together...I like it. Interesting to see the wire on the wheels and center hubs and actually cutting the wheel spoke to help with wire tension. Some neat details on this car. Yasin
  20. You went through all that trouble to remove the dash and only put one gauge? I'm confused...? Yasin
  21. Wow…that is simply a beautiful car. Love it. As for car shows I don’t care much for them, other than shows like MSA where I can see other owners doing creative things to improve performance, drive ability, suspension, brakes etc…regular show’n’shine stuff does not float my boat. To each his own though. You car is a perfect canvas for some awesome upgrades, I would start with a hot turbo engine..take your pick..SR20, L28ET, RB…and welcome to the slippery slope! Yasin
  22. Devil and Kevin- Your cars are beautiful....!! Yasin
  23. Photgraphed by me today at an ole skool Vee Dub show, love the vans!!.. Enjoy - Yasin
  24. Did not sound like 21psi and 400+ wheel torque pull. Also why is the big fan not infront of the motor? Weird. Yasin
