  1. Damn...sick. That Z31 2J that you have been working on, is incredible. Yasin
  2. Typically the Nissan ECU should go pig rich at wide open throttle and you can see the AFRs climbing after the rpms hit 5,000, so I am a little suspect of the fuel pump, the guys on the dyno were the ones tha made the observation. Thanks for the compliments on the car! Yup true that my friend. WEAK...? Slow down there bwoy. Ummm in 2009 I still think they are fast. BTW, the 280ZXT was one of the fastest production cars tested by Car and Driver in 1981, faster than the Porsche 928, every 911 (except the Turbo), Ferrari 308 and any Corvette at the time. +1
  3. Ryan - Promise soon...the white car will ge to the dyno soooon! I am still in the throws os a new job and hope to make some progress on the Haltech install this weekend - x fingers. J - Yuppers had a ball, check the YouTubevideo link. Good suggestion on doing a pull with only the exhaust. Note fair...you are in a totally different league...us humble single cam 12valve guys..LOL! Working on it brother Hugh..working on it. Yasin
  4. OK just kiddin' you fun luvin' guys...and Tim can keep the crown (well for the moment anyway..big smile!). But for grins I went to the dyno today. I dyno'd the bone stock 50,000mile '83 280ZX Turbo 5sp that I recently bought. I wanted to see what a bone stock, super healthy car (140+ psi compression and less than 2% leak down across all 6) L28ET would pull down. This car still has the original Nissan factory belts from 1983 and even the all original 26year Nissan old air filter...even the cap and rotor had NEVER been replaced...no joke. So long story short at 6,000ft above sea level the car put down 120.2 whp and 138 wheel torque. I know you guys are thinking it seems low but there is approx a 30% loss for being this high up in Colorado (no oxygen!!) and another 15-20% loss for the drivetrain loss, so if you do the math the car is making the power it should..right around 180ish flywheel hp and 200ish flywheel torque. Surprisingly the car was making 6psi of boost. The car started to run lean on my last run as you can see from my AFRs and I am going to change the fuel pump tomorrow and then on Monday I am installing a full mandrel 3.5" system and up the boost to 8psi and head back to the dyno next week. I really enjoyed the session, lots of fun I must say. So you guys will see the relative jump in power from a bone stock car to the increases from a well designed custom exhaust combined with a couple more pounds of boost. Enjoy! Video will be added when Youtube approves it (uploaded already). Here is the YouTube Video..: Pics: The shop where I went Revolutions Performance: Yasin
  5. I think the G35 is a far superior car to that 9year old E38. Power wise, handling even in the looks dep't. Those cars can be electronic nightmares as they age and hugely expensive to maintain. For a 10year old car they still look great, but I would spend my $$$ elsewhere, there is a reason that you can get them cheap nowadays...lots of them, low demand and not overly desirable. If it means anything to you I have owned a few Benzes and Porsches and ruled out E-Classes and 5 series when I bought my M45 Infiniti (used) last year. Good luck in whatever you decide. Yasin
  6. Peter Chow is one of the biggest crooks I have ever met. How he sleeps at night is anyone's guess.
  7. Beautiful engine conversion. Lots of S2K engine swaps happening out there. Yasin
  8. Tube chassis but not tubbed....12" wider than a stock S30 car (look at the comparison of a stock S30 in the pic below), cut down the center and 12" spliced in...lots and lots of fab work V8 set very far back. Yasin
  9. Holy speechless...that is simply amazing, beautiful, beautiful work. Love it. Your attnetion to detail with the fuel lines and throttle linkage is nothing short of breath taking. What engine mangement are you running with it? I bet it sounds incredible especially at WOT. Yasin
  10. Looks fantastic...great color choice. Yasin
  11. Breathtaking and Awesome...more pics and feedback on how she drives! Yasin
  12. ...neither am I!!! Here are some pics I took of your car at MSA... Regards - Yasin
  13. Brad - Can you qualify this statement? I know several BW T5 owners pushing well past 400ft.lbs at the rollers at the tranny are holding up great. One car is raced at Mosport within an inch of its life, and the T5 keeps takin' a lickin'. Yasin
  14. For $3K..you are not getting much of a "deal"..in the past few months I looked at several '82 and '83 ZX Turbo cars, the cheapest one was $1700 and the most expensive was $4000, all were quite nice (need cosmetics but all ran great!). So if were you I would keep looking and buy a turbo 5speed car (coupes look best), they are leaps and bounds much more enjoyable to drive than the 135hp normally aspirated ZX cars. Plus I see pretty significant rust in the spare tire wheel well (typical). That '79 car you are looking at is a "stripper" model (first year for the ZX S130 chassis) so does not even have factory aluminum wheels. Good luck. Yasin
  15. John - No problems, sounds great. I'll send you a PM with directions and contact info. I hope you like Heineken. Yasin
  16. Thanks John sent you a PM! Many thanks for your help on the RB-Rs and hope to bring the car with me next year to MSA. Any questions you have on the engine build please ask. John - Anytime c'mon down! Regard - Yasin
  17. Wow..cool to see a car as beautiful as yours in Barrie. Sadly Barrie’s climate is hard on these early Japanese cars let alone cars in general. In all the years I lived in Barrie, I cannot remember seeing any S30 cars. Congrats on a cool paint job done insexpensively. Here is a photo of a similar painted and also beautiful Datsun Roadster that I took at the Solvang Roadster show in California two weekends ago. Regards - Yasin
  18. Alright brother...hope to catch you next year with your beautiful car!!! I have some narrow body pics I need to dig-up and post! Hahaha..good one, the wide bodys were definitely not worth photographing...LOL! Yasin
  19. You welcome guys! Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Vinh would love for you to come out and hang out with you, I hope to trailer my white Turbo ZX next year. Hugh did you go this year? Yasin
  20. My shots from MSA this year...280ZX only for us S130 owners....enjoy! Many cars were beautiful stock cars, so I did not really photograph them. I have another SD card with more pics. 1 of 25ish cars made..Kaminari wide body..for sale $25K (if I remember correctly)..a beautiful car..perfect time warp car, 25+ years looks amazing! Jeff Priddy's Monster: Jeff's engine bay: Speed Racer theme..300+whp Simply stunning stance with Rota RB-R Next year my car is going! Yasin
  21. I heard you and Bernard were busy on Friday evening.
  22. Awesome, looks like a Lone Wolf Intake? Yasin
  23. Holy $hit....that car is scary...in a good way, so tell us what is it like to drive? Yasin
  24. Wow...impressive, more pics please. Congrats the car looks hot! Yasin
  25. Beautiful car and fantastic photgraphy skills...complimenting each other. My choice would be a different wheel combo and lower the stance..then perfect! Yasin
