How long have you had it? Did you just recently move from Florida to MA?
Very sad news for sure. I would be sick. I no longer park my car for any extended
amount of time in any parking lot. Even though it is insured.
When I grew up we never locked the house or the cars. Times have changed and
I do not know what has happened with the newer generations.
This is why concealed carry is so popular. I even have a permit now.
From a USAF veteran. I still miss the F4C/D Phantoms I worked on.
Pull the intake and exhaust manifold and put the studs back in the head
as it was designed. The PO already screwed your intake by putting those
insulators on there. They are the wrong ones. Get the weber ones from
Pierce. You have Solex but uses same insulator as weber.
As you are new you may be better to sell the whole set up and put SU's
back on. Eveything I see there including the carbs and manifold look like junk.
It will take some time and $$$$$ to fix it all.
Test fit new stainless Magnaflow muffler. Using center in and offset out it
tucks up nicely tilted as shown. With the exhaust tip installed, it should
look perfect.
Finally finished up the back end. R180, 4:11 limited slip! Fun to drive!
Reinstall exhaust is next. Then its back on the ground.
Six more weeks or so before winter storage.
I thought I would share some GTO Spyder photos I took 3 weeks ago.
A guy in Chicago makes these to order. No kits. All aluminum.
Did not get the guys name.
I pulled the differential, axels, mustache bar and all brackets to detail.
All ready to begin reinstall with new poly bushings in the mustache bar.
R180 4:11 limited slip with new fill of Redline GL5 gear lube.
"ebay (RS speed) 3 inch. It was actually quite huge but its pretty quiet and pretty decent looking. I'm happy with it."
Looks like they have a motorcycle style restrictor installed in the end of the muffler.
