  1. I was thinking EGR valve myself. They will leak exhaust into the intake when bad. (stuck). This would cause a mixture problem. If origional I would replace it.
  2. Use this nifty tool to see clearances. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp?item=Wheel-Tire%20size%20comparer&sw1=205&ar1=60&bd1=14&rw1=6.5&et1=13&sw2=205&ar2=60&bd2=15&rw2=7.0&et2=0&text1=&text2=
  3. It's a concept known here in the USA known as supply and demand.
  4. Thanks Tony. I will check messages.
  5. It never fails if there is a bad one made, I get that one. MSA said they are made undersize and are machined to fit by owner. They did not offer to send me a different one. The instructions do not say that at all by the way. Nor do they give the clearance to machine it to. So what MSA says is a crock.
  6. I purchased the same pulley from MSA. I had to send it back. It was machined .034 smaller than my L28 crankshaft. No way that was going to fit with a little polishing. I was told they are made to fit tight like that. .034 ???? right. So now what do I do? BHJ damper?
  7. Keep the Z car. Dump the spec Miata. Complete waste of time and money. Fun for the youngons. When the Spec Miata class takes to the track we all go to food stand to take a break.
  8. Courtesy Nissan has yet to ever answer an email from me. So I go elsewhere. FWIW.
  9. FWIW. Mine was the timing chain. Noise was definately from front of engine.
  10. According to AZC website. These springs will not lower a 240Z. They are low enough already. I don't think so. Is he kidding?
  11. A few years ago I purchased a set listed as fitting a 240Z. They came as 66.1mm size. They work well on the rear but the fronts had to be enlarged to sit flush over the hub.
  12. IMO I hope when I am forced to sell mine, they don't ruin it by putting ricer fart cans on it and other useless rice items.
  13. Buy what you want. Why ask other people what to buy? That is your decision. You buy to please your self, not others. I have never taken a poll or even asked on what to put on my car and never will. I don't know your case but I see young guys with cars that need thousands of $$ worth of work and they put on brand new wheels and tires. Car still looks like crap. Wheels come last IMO.
  14. Fast Forwards were around years ago. I have no idea who made them.
  15. Just regrind cam like Tony suggested for your set up. Faster, easier, no spring change and 1/4 the cost overall.
  16. For Hybrid Z members your cost is $25.00 off price listed. If you do want it, PM me and I will end the Ad. Or email: sgund3athotmaildotcom. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170640215282&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT

And I am unable to find a way to DELETE.
  18. I am looking for an oil pan for an early N42 block L28 280Z. Nothing rusty. I have one like that. I am going to powdercoat it and want a good one to start with. Thanks. Steve PM or email me at: sgund3 at hotmail.com I have paypal.
  19. FWIW. I have an oem Nissan 15015-21001 oil pump in the box. It has the H28 stamp on it.
  20. I have found Infranview the easiest and fastest way to resize a photo. And it is free.
  21. This is getting ridiculous. Get real people, posting a picture 3024 X 2407 is just nuts. It takes forever to download a post even with DSL. Then on top of that you guys are quoting these photos. 800 X 600 is big enough. The wheels thread is a prime example. IMO, get with it or do not post photos or just go away to another site all together!
  22. Tonys post presents such a convoluted argument no one gets it. If A=B then A+C = B+C. Its the same cams! My eyes are so rolled in my head all you see is white.
  23. Well maybe. Which L28? According to the much refered to Atlantic Z cam sheet, the L24 and the L28 used the same cam (A) all the way to 8/81. After that date they changed the L28 cam. The L26 of course had a different cam.
  24. I have an internal oiled cam with a 'K' stamp. I see this letter is not listed in the Atlantic Z cam chart. It came out of a 280ZX. Non turbo.
  25. Too bad I did't see this 20 years ago. We put mine together with a new LSD and ring gear. There were no instructions with it. I just drove it normally for awhile until the next autocross. LOL.
