  1. The good news is the car sold for $1500.00. However, today's lesson was get everything in writing if you try and broker a vehicle. 50% of something is better then 100% of nothing. He originally told me he wanted $350 for the car. I asked him if I could sell it for him and give him $500 and I keep the difference which he agreed upon. Somehow, today, he decided that the deal was now he wanted $500 for the car and 50% of the profits over $500. The reality of this was his wife never seen until today. Little bit of an influence. The entire deal almost went south and there was no point in arguing even though all of my negotiations was with him. So I only made $500.00. I'll take it! I also bought an 82 280zxt complete for $350.00 from him. This one I do have in writing!
  2. I'm assuming you mean the 300zxt 87-89, non-VLSD, 4 bolt ones?
  3. So it looks like the F-body or Caddy pan would work the best? Which one did you decide to go with.
  4. I listed it locally on Craigslist for $1500.00. Supposed to show it to a guy tomorrow at lunch. Hopefully with a sale! Another person from West Palm seemed interested. Will see and keep my fingers crossed.
  5. Kentucky transplant. Has been sitting in that same spot for about 10 years likely. He said 5 years, but I think he's a little confused on his dates.
  6. That is some coin, but interesting none the less.
  7. I'm not putting any money out other than listing fees for ebay.
  8. The guy I bought a 82 280zxt also has a 69 Camaro. He only wants $350 for it. So I asked him if I gave him $500 for it and sold it on Ebay if I could keep the difference. He said sure. This thing is pretty rough, but looks complete. The few I've seen recently on ebay went for decent money though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260367856196&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320343991796&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220366050975&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= From looking at the VIN it's nothing special, 6 cyl, manual w/ a Hurst shifter that I don't know whether or not came that way from the factory. Should I take the $50.00 chance and list it on ebay? Thanks!

  12. Z aside, you are a blessed man! What wife! Thank her repeatedly.
  13. The owner of a 88 300zxt I was looking at said the heater hose is bad. He also said that in Order to change the hose, you need to pull the dash out! Is this true? Thanks!
  14. Np, I can get at least 150 just for the head. Good luck on your build.
  15. Did you find one. The 2+2 model shouldn't be any different is it? Email sent.
  16. I could also ship it, but there is $50.00 charge (wood, screws and 5+hours to put it together) to just box it. It is a pain in the arss! I swore I would never do it again.
  17. I would have the Longblock only (Head, Block, Oil Pan, WP, Front Cover, Pulley and Valve Cover). $350.00
  18. Thanks! Much appreciated!
  19. Come on Adam, you know you want to come to Orlando! I should have one in a couple of weeks.
  20. Are you talking about the "Quick Reply" that you can no longer use at the bottom of the screen that says, "Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply." I'd like to see that restored as well. If not, at least get it off the screen. Just one more thing to load that we can't use.
