I'm not sure I support a separate forum dedicated to the subject. I am interested in avoiding bad sellers/buyers, but I'm not interested in reading flame wars, debates, etc. about anyone. The Ebay feedback format seems to fit the bill (at least for me) Z31.com uses a little site called Zbay (http://showroom.floor.palo-alto.ca.us/zbay/zbay.html) that follws that format. Maybe we could utilize that site or maybe Dan can find a bulletin board add-in for this site.

I can sympathize as well. I've been finishing building a built-in entertainment center, wine cellar and some landscaping on my home. Additionally, I've gutted/rebuilt a bathroom on my rental house, as well as repaint the entire interior/exterior, rip up the yard (including two very large trees) install underground sprinklers and re-sod the entire place. My renters are almost living in a nicer place than I am. In the mean time, my poor little Velo Rossa has gathered an inch of dust and hasn't gotten so much as a glance in it's direction since last spring...

I am fairly certain the car in Alex's pics is the feature car from Kit Car Magazine's "Last Chance Garage" feature. It's a series of articles written by the builder that chronicles the entire build process. If it is the same car, the body is actually from Thunder Ranch and it was custom widened by 6"-12" just for this car. The builder/author created a custom jig and built the entire tube frame to accept all Corvette C5 components. It's going to be a very sweet ride.

The 2.3 Turbo option would be my choice from that list. It might be worth checking out the potential of the Zetec and Duratec motors in later Fords. It seems like there is a bunch of 'em out there and there seems to be a healthy amount of aftermarket performance parts/options for them.

I believe Glenn is correct. Cal Spyder makes a kit that is based on the Ferris Bueller car. I have already decided that if I EVER FINISH my Velo Rossa, I am going to build one of these powered by an LS1/T56 combo.

Nate (Nezzie76) had been corresponding with TomahawkZ (Larry) for quite a while. The last time I spoke with Nate it had been quite a long time since he had heard from Larry. Probably 6 months ago. It sounded like incarceration was starting to get to Larry. So, unfortunately, no new news. If I remember right, he should be getting out sometime soon. Hopefully, we'll hear from him. I drove a couple of hours to meet Larry and see his cars a few years ago. Seemed like a real nice and helpful ol' guy. He didn't deserve the sentence he got.

As far as I know, Mike is still selling brakes. (http://www.fonebooth.com/auto.html) Since, he quit racing his 240Z and moved on to a 200SX road racer, he doesn't seem to visit here much. The last time I saw or spoke to him was at a race out at PIR quite a while back.

Well, after submitting mountains of documentation, pictures of fire damage, waiting months for answers... Nissan says no. They say that the fuel injector replacment campaign was a voluntary service on Nissan's part and wasn't a mandatory safety recall. That, coupled with the fact that I don't have ALL service records from ALL previous owners gets them out of covering the fire damage. The best they'll do is give me a $250 credit toward getting the damage repaired at a Nissan dealership. The dealership gave me a $2500 estimate to fix the damage. Oh, well. It was worth a try So, now I have to decide if I want to: - Spend the time & and cash to fix the car myself (that means even less time and money for the Velo Rossa) - Sell the complete non-running car. - Part out the car. Anybody want a Z31 for a V8 install?

Oh, Well... Thats actually a pretty cool idea! I guess I'll have to hold on to all of the smart a$$ comments I was dreaming up.

Personally, I wanna know why Tim was cruising the Opel ads?!
