  1. I have a partially rebuilt L28, care to trade? I know it is a bad deal for me but Im willing to help you out.
  2. That a good Idea, set it up with a tube to the back of the car near the exhaust and put a valve at the tank so you can use it to put out fires in your car if you have one, or make the tailgaters back off. What about a lcd screen for your License plate that changes to tell people to back off?
  3. I meant for stock setups (misunderstanding) I dont think it works, but I bet it helps alot when you need more air.
  4. Hey 2+2 owners, I was wondering If any 2+2 owners could post pictures of theyre Z. Doesnt matter If its stock or not just wanting to see how restored ones look. I've also noticed that only certain colors make the 2+2 look really good some colors make it look horrible and other look great. I've been trying to look for how paint colors, air dams, bumpers, etc look on 2+2's. Tried to post pics of my car but wouldnt let me. The thread has expanded from just pictures of body modifications. Feel welcome to talk about anything pertaining to 2+2's body, engine, interior and pictures of your 2+2, or just post random things that have nothing to do with 2+2's or even Z's... but lets try to keep it more to the Z car side.
  5. More like reaction times. I've always wondered where this "tuner" car fad came from. Im a sophmore and everyone talks about theyre Hondas and scions and some weird korean cars Ive never heard of. They say "Ohh, this friend of mine has a Crx with the body kit and everthing, he said he has street glow, 8 inch monitors(for performance) clear taillights, and COLD AIR INTAKE!! HE put on a muffler that sound awesome!!!! It looks like an all out street race car." ???? Does a loud sound that ressembles a Cell phone vibrating across a metal chair define performance? I absolutly hate it. Oh I forgot it had stickers.....
  6. Looking good, is your car a turbo or stroker or just stock? Ive heard that the 240sx Tb doesnt help at all, it just seams like it cause you have more throttle at the same throttle position as before, is yours different? Not meaning to rain on your parade.
  7. I have never liked Lamborginis but this doesnt look that bad... kinda looks like a GT. The stratos is UGLY, UGLY, UGLY. Theyd have been better to make the old ones again. Unchanged. Anyone have a guess when Nissan will redo the 350z, If they do I bet itll be a retro Mustang-like recreation of the first generation Z's. Theyll either really blow it or itll look sick. Just my guess.
  8. What about various engine sizes, 280zSBC, 280z3.1, 280z2.6/2.5, 280z 350, 280z 4bbl, 240l28et, etc. I'd buy a hybrid z emblem like veritech said if its around 15 bucks.

  10. A friend of mine has a 302 in a pinto wagon and he has the same issue with the headers. I found a header brand that might work, they make headers for 302 pickups but im not sure if they work for older 302's. The header was called Jba cat 4ward, hopefully theyll work.
  11. Is a WRx Sti not luxury enough? If so have you looed at Srt-8 Chargers/300c, but it is a little spendy, so you could mabey just a go with one with a 5.7 hemi? My dad has a 5 spd 4cyl Vue and I've been telling him we have to go test drive a CVt Vue, are they really that bad? What goes out? is it the hydralics, pulleys, the belt?

  13. mopar69 - What Mopars do you have? Very sadley to say, none, I've ALWAYS loved mopars and was looking into a Mopar theyre arent many muscle cars that make high 20's mpg cause Im getting my license in Jan and couldnt afford a 440 6 pack. But I love my z just the same. Has anyone bought from Tabco or Alfaparts? I have a 2+2 and need rear lower quarters, how much can be interchanged.
  14. I know the compression is raised when you shave the head but why? If you shave the head your displacement is lowered and you therefore take in less fuel/air. Isnt the intake volume to the stroke ratio the same? Pardon my stupidity.

Im not sure on the air flow inside a fender im guessing some goes under the front airdam to the inside of the wheel (through suspension)and out the rear vent or under the car, some goes out the top and some escapes out the gap between the wheel and wheel well? If the wheels spinning wouldnt it push the air down not up, and there'd be a high pressure zone right in front of the wheel? Im not sure either about your diffuser Im guessing its just a horizontal wing to send air up the inside of the fender and out the top, instead of under the car?

  17. How much is a Megasquirt system and if paired with a better fuel injection intake manifold what power gains can you expect?
  18. I never really liked side skirts but I think Seths side skirts the way they are blended in look great. I mainly dont like the seam after you put a side skirt on. Id like to see a rear brake vent that blends into the rear flare. But all your cars look great, you can never not like a Z.
  19. Do you mean fender when you say guard? If youd be able to create high pressure behind the top vent inside the fender the air would be forced out the top. But youd have to set up some kind of ballast so the high pressure wouldnt escape out the rear vent. You could use the rear vent only for air that gets sucked in behind the wheel to escape. Im no expert but It seems like it would work to me. Helix are you going to be using these vents on your race car or just wondering about it?
  20. I called Tabco recently and they said they dont have any and wont for a while. JohnC how much does it take to cut the lower rear quarters off and where do you start, it seems pretty thin but Im not sure.
  21. Would you be able to switch to a dry slump on this motor? Then you could either lower the motor some and still have enough clearance or leave it and have alot of clearance. not sure how easy or hard it would be to do this but just a thought.
  22. Ouch the silver car took a hard hit. I really like those wheels too, do they come any smaller?
