  6. Welcome. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-280Z-V8-Conversion-Manual-1975-1976-1977-1978_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34229QQihZ005QQitemZ150247599869QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I read this cover-to-cover for 6 months before buying any cars, donors, or parts. It addresses many details of doing a Chevy V8 swap, and has a chapter on automatic transmissions. You will save the purchase price by not making mistakes, re-calibrating the tachometer yourself, etc.

  9. Specifically the E04D in a E150, 2WD, 5.8L V8. I'm searching because Parts interchange lists show different transmissions for the 87-94 then 95-96. - what would prevent me putting the 1995 trans in a 1994 vehicle? TCM or wiring change? Internal trans change?

  14. You're making me nostalgic. I have some of Bill Keane's (Family Circus) artwork that shows what the character of Scottsdale's buildings and plazas looked like in the 1950's and 1960's. Guess that was before the population boom. I used to love going to "Downtown" Scottsdale in the 1970's for shopping with my mom, lunch at the Sugar Bowl, or a visit to the "BIG" library. Later I commuted daily thru the downtown arteries on my way to ASU. You might see traditional old western boots and tack store fronts, and a Frank Lloyd Wright design in the next block. As a young adult I attended city council meetings - another great reason to go downtown. 25 years later, fond memories, probably would not recognize much there now.
  15. Saw that. I wondered if it was a customer's car.
