  2. Or You can use 300ZX hubs. They are 5 x 114.3mm (5 x 4.5") and fit on the spindles.
  3. Silently, reluctantly, Joanne slipped out of her thin nightgown and stood naked in the moonlight. The sweet smell of magnolia blossoms drifted in through the open French doors leading to the balcony. Meanwhile, two cars were driving north on the A1A.
  4. Is Elverta near Tijuana? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260314687703
  5. The Spifires' IRS only have one u-joint, so the geometry is like a early VW Beetle swing-axle. During a sharp turn the outside rear wheel can "hook" under and fold over, snapping off at the weak spot is the outboard end of the axle. They had a good run, building the same basic car '62-'80...using 1930's technology.
  6. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=35121 Get a piece of alloy flashing and some pop rivets at Home Depot. Stamp, drill, and trim to size. For legitimate purposes only.
  7. Let's talk measurements instead of part numbers. SQUARE BORE bolt pattern is 5 5/8 in. x 5 1/8 in. SPREAD BORE bolt pattern is 5 5/8 in. x 4 1/4 in. What is your carb bolt pattern? What is your manifold bolt pattern? and...is it symmetrical?

  9. I always liked the Stag, since seeing one in "Diamonds are Forever" (James Bond)
  10. Are the bolts actually studs in the intake manifold? I was thinking Maybe it got dropped and bent one of the studs.

  12. Ever seen a Viper shifter? It's got some crazy bends to move the handle forward and towards the driver, their engine & T56 is really set back. There are aftermarket shifter reloaction kits, I'm not sure if you can hide these under the console... but, I don't think I could convert the mounts, wiring, hard lines, exhaust, and driveshaft to JTR for under $200. http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/product.php?productid=2444&cat=0&page=1 http://www.autoworksparts.com/billet_shifter_relocation_kit.htm

  14. Or there's always the armed forces style -
  15. Two engineering students were walking across campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?" The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike. She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want." The second engineer nodded approvingly, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit."

  17. yea, but it is also curable. the cure is the chickvirus....
  18. The stock Z shifter knob thread is a tiny 8mm. After cutting to length, the thicker, middle portion of the shifter lever diameter has to be turned down to the M8 thread max diameter (7.972mm), before you can run a die down and cut new threads. Unless you have access to a lathe and a well-stocked first aid kit (turning that wiggly S-shaped piece of steel almost guarantees a split knuckle or 2) try this: Drill a 17/64" hole down the end of the handle and thread the hole with a M8 tap. Then use a M8x1.25 stud (be-headed bolt) to attach the knob.
