  1. I know it probably sounds corny, but I used to play pool AL THE TIME and I got REALLÃ good at it. I used to make up a new screen name every time I played online (when I couldn't get to a real table) simply because I never remembered my old ones. one day my cousin was around and I couldn't think up a name and I had told him that I usually just blow through people, and he suggested typhoonplayer, well that was taken so I used typhooneplayer, and now I use typhoone for every board, messenger, and email that I have. I am thinking about getting it as a vanity plate when I get this nezt Z, either that or ''KEEPUP'' lol
  2. with enough money and skill just about anything can fit in a Z. some swaps are cheaper than others, but just about anything can be done. hell i've seen V12s put in a z. it isn't cheap, it isn't easy, and cutting has to be done, but it can be done.
  3. I agree with mtcookson, I learned a lot from that website, but Jason (the owner of that site) says something on there that is very true and contradictory to your goal, there isn't a true ''budget'' way to build this motor and have it be reliable. the way he put it, I believe, is ''if you want to just buy a lot of parts to make it fast, sell it and buy a honda.'' you have to plan, pay, and search to make a strong motor out of the vg motors. there will always be cheaper options, but that route won't be as reliable as spending the money the first time around. good luck on your build.
  4. Where did everything go:?: : lol also, what else is there to move
  5. I was just wondering, how come we don't have a street racing/drag racing/quater mile section? I know street racing is kind of frowned upon, but when i go to other sites that have them it always makes me smile when i hear about a cocky mustang owner gets forced to eat some exhaust from a "20 year old p.o.s." Just wondering, who knows, maybe we'll get one eventually. -Typhoone
  6. all I can think to tell you is do some work on the side or become a hooker, cause it sounds like they are bending you over the barrel already
  7. Okay, i am about to finally get my 85 Z, and i was just wondering with a T3/To4E 60 trim AR .60 hybrid turbocharger with a compressor side from a 1980's Grand National, 9 psi manually set boost around how much hp would that net me? I am under the impression that that and the stage 3 clutch in it are the only real performance mods, and i was trying to find out about how much pick up and go that would be. Thanks for any and all help. Ps. - i did search, but i only found 1 thread and that one had no mention of hp numbers.
  8. the tire could have already split around that area (mine did a couple months ago) and then it just got to hot. somehow i doubt that was a fun ride for you
  9. i second that question. lol
  10. you could always try out a Ford F150. Decent gas mileage, pleny of space inside the truck, and we have hauled PLENTY of stuff in ours and it still rides nice. just an idea
  11. if anyone needs the software I am sure I could get it for you. send me a pm and I can let you know. I know a little bit about cars, but I make my Money with computers, so I have all kinds of tricks. -typhoone
  12. we are controlled by ecu, and it tells the injectors how much to put in, so I doubt it would have an effect as long as you had a good tune to make the ecu work with the new injectors
  13. i would have asked him to show you the turbo as well...and if he had found one i would have beat him in the head with it....i know...i am kinda violent...but that is BS in the highest level.
  14. Stewie Griffin lol. I love that show. I think the Fairly Oddparents are great. I know it sounds childish...but they can change into any of the other characters that you guys have listed, so technically i am right. lol
  15. i seen claims of up to 26 mpg, but i don't know how modded they were. i think even with a heavy foot you would be able to pull out at least 20 mpg, and if you were conservative around 23
  16. how come everyone seems to have good art talent except me? I used to be really good at anime, but i got tired of people asking why i could do anime but not other forms of art work....this was asked alot in art class....when we were doing stuff like "The Last Supper"...yeah...there is no difference between the two....right....lol. After that i just quit drawing.
  17. damn dude, you have talent. you got the hood perfect and everything. any chance you could do a 1985 300zx for me????
  18. ??????? I thought gutting was taking out the extra stuff & also welding some stuff shut....someone correct me if i'm not on the right track. I thought boring was something totally different. :-/ am I dumber than I thought I was????
  19. fun stuff. i'm not really looking for boring, but more of gutting. welding the fun stuff shut and all that. i looked at www.lpperformance.com and it seems interesting but they don't have the dyno numbers up yet....and it really is EXPENSIVE
  20. stomp his ass and post the video so you can show it to him every time he opens his mouth. but that's just my ¢.02
  21. i have always loved nissan cars.....but what in the FROZEN BLUE HELL is that supposed to be?!?! I do admit that it looks futuristic, but that needs to be far enough in the future that none of the current nissan fans will have to suffer through it.
  22. I am sure some people are getting sick of me posting, and for those people i am very sorry but i am doing my best to make sure that i have everything planned from the very beginning of my build. Just wondering, i have little to no skills when it comes down to welding etc and i was wondering if any member is willing to or knows of a company that can gut my intake plenum. I read that it can add up to 8% hp and if manage to get up to 300 hp, and extra 24 peak hp is more than welcome. So, please let me know if someone can do it or if i will have to find someone around here and PRAY that they don't destroy my plenum. -Typhoone
