  1. th problem with this study was that it was conducted in europe using the GSM standard. the only phone company in the US that uses that is T-mobile. bah...anyway
  2. rims size is 14x7 tire size is 265/50/14
  3. check these out for comparison, http://resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=274 they are 50s[/img]
  4. Fark em, there is only one thing you can do about, dont talk to them, and stop buying food for your place. find somebody that you can get along with and hang out with them. not everybody, or even a majority will agree with what you do, not matter what. from my experiance in life thus far ,(and not to sound negative), but people suck. live your life for you and tell everyone else to kiss your ass.
  5. also sounds like a problem i had with mine. it would crank and then run for a split second before it would die. turns out that a FI relay housing was not properly grounded causing the cold start injector to spray only while cranking. When I first installed the wiring harness I wanted to make sure it would run first so i just set the harness and relays down on the floor instead if bolting them to thier bracket. It took me way too much time to trouble shoot all the FI parts until I finally took a look at the wiring diagram just to notice that little (earth) mark drawn from a relay. I broke out the test lead and grounded the case. after that it started and ran purrfectly. just another thing check.
  6. man that blows! unfreaking believable how many Zs seem to be getting stolen lately, I hope it turns up in one piece, and the thieves dont. (turn up in one piece) bastards! makes me not even want to bother trying to finish my, if some jackass loser is just going to steal it. did you have any type of alarm on it?
  7. unforunatly, the dash frame is not the same, its looks as though you can swap the glovebox section with the steering column mount section because it does seem to be screwed in place, but when you take a closer look at the dash when its out of the car, you come to realize that its all spot welded together.
  8. Mike, from what ive heard, the steering rack is the same on both LHD and RHD versions, you just have to flip it over (but if you think about that, wouldnt that reverse the runing of the rack as well? that would certainly be an anti-theft device..turn left on the wheel...car goes right! lol) as far as the dash I have no idea, post RHD dash wanted adds on all the Z boards, I seem to remeber that there are a couple RHD 240Zs in houston salvage yards, might even be one in San Antonio. it will be cracked, but you can order a dash cover from several places online....(yes RHD covers) consider this though, I would find a RHD first gen in a junk yard, chances are it will be rusted to hell, but you only want the firewall and some of the interior, to the best of my info (from when i was researching a RHD conversion) the peddle hanger is a good bit different, the wiring harness is a great deal differnt (things in the harness are now further away, other things closer, battery is on the other side etc etc) the combo switches are not interchangable. its a big job, but certainly made easir by nissan with all the extra holes and mounts that are in all first gen chassis.
  9. I was looking at those as well, but was a little leary about moving the wheel closer to the driver. when using a momo hub, would it be possible to section the hub by an inch? cut cut, weld weld? anywho, just trying to get some final issues with my car worked out. thanks.. -S
  10. cool, forgot about human leauge, thats the ticket when it comes to 80s mixes! thanks everyone, keep em comin!
  11. hey gang, My girlfriend wants me to make her some new CDs and I was thinking about two that would be kinda dorky, but at the same time enjoyable, in that ashamed kinda way haha, anyway, what im looking for, is for yall to name off some bands and songs that you think best fit these two genres: 80's music and grunge scene let the suggestions roll in..............
  12. those links are working for me. should try again. im still working on the car that im selling, If i manage to finish the body work before somebody buys it im going to paint it flat black, and then paint the oldskool rims with a cherry red center. well see how she looks. -S
  13. *EDIT: links fixed! mike, here are some shots of the oldskools: http://www.resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=274 also, check out these wheels i just bought today....never guess how much i paid. anywho, I think im pulling the turbo car out of the paint shop next week, looks like im going to paint her myself, probably white. think these would look good (mind you, these would be temporay until i can afford some deepdish volks, or work wheels) http://www.resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=273 rock-on-don-docken!
  14. I like them all, silver certainly would be subtle. nice p-shop drax. love the green, and the blue is to die for!
  15. mike, I think that wheels on that 240SX are five lug Work wheels. but i could be wrong. i have a set of 14s right now that have that old school look, I was going to paint the centers red and polish the lip, might still do that if nobody buys my 73. laterZ
  16. what about just alum. from the "cat back" maybe a couple feet after the down pipe? it is spendy though, alum. mandrel bends run in the mega $$ range compared to steal or even SS.
  17. When I had the turbo car here and was trying to fab up all the piping and what not, I would be tossing and turning in bed and think "HEY! I could just go right down there and weld something!" so down the stairs in the PJs and big slippers I would go, and sure enough, the second night a red hot got into my cuff and set me ablaze! I was able to stamp it out, but im afriad the PJs were goners. bummer too, they were very comfortable.
  18. those new frame rails sure are purdy when is your estimated time of completion? I know it upsets the cargods to ask such a thing, but i must know! gonna be killer when it gets on the road!
  19. My GF is a vegi...not purely vegan mind you, she still eats cheeze, drinks milk. but no meat at all, no fish, no chicken, no nothin. (dont even think it)I must say that she doesnt look like shes on the verge of death...as a matter of fact, the majority of my friends that are women, are vegis. and they are all very beautiful. I also am a big fan of steaks and fajitas, and other animal products and thus far my woman has no complaints at all, be it in the kitchen, or bedroom. shes does complain about bread crumbs under the sheets sometimes.
  20. I am a big movie fan and find it hard to really list my favs...since i have alot of favorites....but here we go (some mentioned already) Two lane blacktop The manchurian canidate Blade runner office space Star wars IV, V, VI all early james bond Planes, trains, automobiles Dirty rotten scoundrels Memento serial mom UHF RadioHead, Meeting people is easy Ronin Blues brothers Bullit Gone in 60 seconds (original) Cannonball run gumball rally Heat Ferris buellers day off Identity Vanishing point this is spinal tap The freshman My blue heaven the jerk Uncle buck Strange brew the fifth element A christmas story airplane Better off dead Born in east LA Capt ron Close encounters 2001 2010 Predator Misery funny farm good morning vietnam happy gilmore harold and maude men at work night of the comet spys like us omega man planet of the apes princess bride pump up the volume heathers repo man reservior dogs any pink panther slap shot spaceballs road warrior mad max them they total recall trading placeswar of the worlds young frankenstein (what hump?) etc etc etc..
  21. is the world really that bad? WTF is wrong with people.
  22. is that your next project Tim? i can see it now...suicide the back doors, give it a two inch channel, maybe a slight chop on the roof, french the headlights and tailights, a nice big sliding ragtop across the entire roof, some nice thin custom bumpers, and a new grill. all of it riding on airbags an 19's. gives me goose bumps!
  23. HEY! that guys dead! but on a more serious note....im thinking that maybe it was his flip-flops that did him in...if he was wearing real shoes...he might have had better control of the bike.
  24. polished lip with a gunmetal center! dead sexy it is...aye!
  25. its good stuff...just dont get it on your hands. also...the engine bay is a rather large junk of metal. I would suggest using a flat black over a gloss or even semi gloss black. the gloss black will show every spec of dust, and every possible flaw...and its not like regular paint that you can just sand down and respray....it takes a great deal of effort to get the stuff off once youve painted it on. A good deal of the dust and marks can be reduced by spraying it on instead of brushing it, just be aware tht you dont want it anywhere near or in your lungs.
