  1. More like the one iskone posted. You want it off the rear of the hatch, not like the one on the Z that is up by the window.
  2. I have the old BRE type spoiler on it now, it looks like the factory 69 Camaro spoiler. Looking for less drag and more downforce. The old spoiler looks cool but after having to roll the car back over on its tires two times now it's time for a change.
  3. Has anyone put a Ed Quay rear spoiler on their Z ? Looking to make the switch.
  4. Called the 612-644-6811 number and got a not in service reply. I have my Z back down to the tube chassis and want to go with a glass front end to shead a little weight this time around. I will need to add some tubing for mounts on the glass front end and I wan't to get this done before powdercoating the chassis. Nothing like starting over from scratch again. How about a glass hatch or doors ? The only thing I had that was glass before was the hood, the rest was all steel.
  5. Is the MAS front end soild? no cutouts for the grill and headlights?
  6. Looking for a one piece front end for a 240Z in fiberglass or carbon fiber. Any leads out there? ...Thanks.
  7. Put on the tallest front tire you can get and shallow stage it, there will be your 11's.
  8. I go with Dr Hunt. Ditch the sway bar for drag racing. Weight is BAD. Looking at a B/ED to go with my Z, mag, carbon and ti , OH MY !!! 1420# with a 225 driver 30 # of shot and a iron block. 6.91 with a 356 sbc with one gas carb. How could I say no?
  9. Rotary, good product and support. We are replacing racks at the dealership where I work with Rotary and they are nice racks. We had Benwell, also a nice rack but support and parts are where Rotary shine. Putting up a 40 by 70 shop and will put Rotary in my hobby shop.
  10. there is a tube chassis Z car, ad 501883, on racingjunk.com
  11. Although I'm thinking the SB2.2 could be "the" platform for the next Hybrid Z and is my next motor of choice. Are those heads the newer G2 heads from TFS? They look really nice! If your going to dump them cheap I'd buy them too. Damm it Dr. Hunt, don't force me to build a real motor.
  12. 45 acp and damm near all auto firearms thank John Browning.
  13. afr isn't the only head out there. Brodix has treated me pretty good for a lot of years.
  14. You want something really cool? Go a flat head block with a pair of Ardun heads. That was a cool motor.
  15. Chassisworks in Sacramento has done a few Z's. Roll bars, cages, back half's and full tube Z's. Good people, nice parts.
  16. I put my time slips on also, figured we needed some thing in the 8 second range.
  17. Why stay with a 23 degree head? You have to buy pistons any way so why not a 18 degree head? I have Brodix 18X heads on my 414 and you don't need off set lifters or rockers with them. They have cast intakes for them in 4150 or 4500 tops. I run a 9" deck with a 3.8 stroke so you can fit it in a standard block. The 18X's run under 2 grand complete and flow pretty good out of the box.
  18. Don't even think about paying off everything, those poor bankers have families to support. Have fun, go fast, and put on some whellie bars. You can tune the chassis with them, get them long and solid, don't get a sprung set. I have gone 1.15 60 ft. riding a set of solid bars on my Z. The front tires only come off about 3 inches.
  19. Parachute, mandatory on any car with a top speed faster than 150 mph. As per 2005 NHRA rule book. Might as well put on the wheelie bars , get the chassis certed and do the license.
  20. Check for tight valve guides, they can stick a valve open .
  21. What kind of rpm are you going through the top end now? How about converter? Are you installing the cam on the intake centerline at 108? what kind of cranking compression did you have with the smaller cam? Cylinder heads? Just trying to get a feel for things here.

  23. I used to get my old stock suspension Z to pull the front wheels off the ground. 350 engine and trans, 8 inch converter 3.90 gears and a set of 26X8.5X15 slicks.
