  1. I have been trying to do research to figure out what I want to do, but have been too busy lately. I will be doing most of it myself. Do you really drive that thing on the street. If you do, i'll get out of your way if I see you coming. Marcos
  2. I now see you in the first picture in back of your Z. That is an awesome car and it is a very clean install. I am just about ready to start my project. It is a 71 240Z but I am not sure which drivetrain I want to go with yet. I will be selling the whole drivetrain it has right now which consists of a 2.8/E88 w/performance cam, triple SK carbs, ITG intake, Mallory Unilite dizzy, Hooker headers, performance exhaust, Centerforce clutch, early 5-speed and 4.11 gears. What I can't figure out yet is if I want to go with a modded L28T, RB26TT or the 2JZ turbo. I do hope my finished project looks even half as good as yours. Marcos
  3. I have some pics of your car. I was at the MSA show too, not sure if I spoke to you though. Here are the pics. Marcos [/url]
  4. Are you sure you didn't hit that thing with a sledge hammer for sh!ts and grins? Just messing, but I think that puts a serious message for all us hybriders out there. Use a driveshaft loop and start checking the driveshaft/ujoints just in case. Marcos
  5. You need to re-grease the caliper sliders on these floating calipers. They are probably dry and stuck on the caliper that has the uneven worn pad. This has happened to my Accord before on the rear brakes. I would check and re-grease both caliper assemblies to make sure it doesn't happen again. Use the break caliper grease that is made for this not heavy duty bearing grease. They sell it at the auto parts stores in small packages. Marcos
  6. Nice swap, what language is that? http://www.grandprixgroup.com/gpi/magxo/detail.asp?news_id=142
  7. I can't make it either, maybe next time. I am trying to take advantage of my weekends right now to work on the house before we start getting rain. Marcos
  8. That looks to be the Momo Champion steering wheel you got there. Nice, I also like the Momo Competition. The car is looking good. I can't wait to get my project started. Marcos
  9. Man that sux, your car was looking good. I think we all feel it when we see a nice Z hurt like that. Marcos
  10. Do they sell these here? http://www.kcat.zaq.ne.jp/hiro_f/toy/toy30/toy30_cq01.html Marcos
  11. Cool deal, your setup looks good. I am just starting the process of getting rid of my drivetrain so I can start my turboZ project. Where did you get the tubing for your turbo/intercooler setup. Marcos
  12. Looks damn good to me. I don't remember reading on your topic about the shop problem, but were you able to get your money back or at least some of it. Marcos
  13. I bought mine, from them, when they had it on their website. Not sure if they still carry them. The car is in pieces right now but am trying to find time to put it back together. Marcos
  14. It premiers on 10/28. http://www.fox.com/24/ Good show, I follow it as much as I can too. Marcos
  15. Damn...That is really messed up Dave. I was looking forward to meeting him and checking out his car. I hope he gets it back safe and sound. Marcos
  16. I get so tired of stuck nuts and bolts these days that I don't mess with them too much after I verify that they are really stuck. I call the Doctor in for surgery. I go at them with a rotary (dremel) tool and get them off any way I can. Case in point: We couldn't get the nut that holds the axle in at the rotor end on a 95 Nissan 200SX. We broke two breaker bars, with cheater bars on the breakers, trying to get it off. We almost thought it was on there with Locktite. I finally cut two slits, 180 degrees away from each other, on the nut and broke it apart with a srewdriver. My new philosophy is: "If you can't beat it, Kill it. Marcos
  17. Here are some pics of the Vortec Z at the MSA show. I took them when I was there. Enjoy Marcos
  18. Yeah, I remember that one. It had more than 500 hp, not sure if at the wheels, and the owner spent more than 40 grand on the project. Marcos
  19. Check the compression to see if it has been modified. You don't want to turbo a 10:1 and not find out until it is too late. Marcos
  20. Hey watch what you are saying David, the fuzz is probably taping into the forum...LOL. You can still buy houses in CA for decent prices, well decent for these days. My wife and I are buying a house in a very good area of Whittier, CA. Escrow was supposed to close this week but some paperwork was delayed and it will hopefully close next week. Here is a link to a post about the house: http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21545 Marcos
  21. Awesome run. Now let's turn the wick up a little more and kick some GN butt. LOL Marcos
  22. If you go to the waxy.org site, they are gathering donations to buy him an iPOD. LOL Marcos
  23. My buddy at work, a big VW/Audi guy, just told me that this guy is running a 5 cylinder Audi engine. All this info should be in my mag at home. I'll check it out tonight. Marcos
  24. Well actually...this car is making 900hp. It was featured in Sport Compact Car Magazine over a year ago. I forget exactly how much the guy put into the car but it was above $250,000 as I remember. He has two gas tanks in it, for race gas and street gas and he switches over when he runs higher boost. I think he runs like 45psi on race gas, that is why he makes 900hp. Makes you sick to the stomach...doesn't it. LOL I will look for this magazine when I get home tonight. It is somewhere at home. Marcos
  25. Awesome looking car...congratulations. Marcos
