  1. SWEET!!! Yeah, talk about a rocket launch. Awesome run.
  2. I only saw part of the final episode in the series when they ran the cars. I am watching one of the episodes right now when they were still modifying them. From what I remember the Skyline was the fastest but I think they were basing the win on who had the best improvement over stock. The Skyline crew didn't do as well over their stock run because they were having braking issues and didn't have enough time to complete the tuning process so it also wasn't running at its best.
  3. I thought they were trying to minimize sun exposure and the probability of getting skin cancer.
  4. No wonder John, you had a POS Nokia. Get one of their better models and keep the service. I have a Samsung SCH-A670 with Verizon, have never had problems, and have good signal/sound. I hate it when people call me with most of the other cell providers. I can barely understand them half of the time.
  5. A similar thing happened to me last night. I was driving home at 9pm from my brother's house and there was a black dodge truck, i think it had a hemi, so close to my rear bumper that I could smell his bad breath. I was in the leftmost lane doing like 83. When he had enough room to go around, he nailed it and jumped in front of me. If it wasn't for me forseeing his horrible driving skills and hitting the brakes, he would have hit the front right side of my car, and I had my wife and sleeping 10 month old daughter in the car. I don't mind it if some people drive fast, as I do it all the time, but you need to be courteous and carefull around other cars. I can't believe some idiots out there. I see some really stupid stuff driving to work everyday.
  6. I'm down for stashing the inventory at Beta Motorsports. I'm a few miles from John's shop. No shipping charges for my parts.
  7. I agree with John. I wouldn't reuse it in this condition myself, too risky.
  8. I knew something was up when I saw your id. Nice one. So what's up with the 2JZ 240Z?
  9. I've always used Energy Suspension formula five prelubes on polyurethane bushings. The stuff works great and is not too expensive. http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=/egnsearch.asp&N=400008 Browse by Department and click Oils, Fluids & Sealer. It is the first item that comes up. They also comes in smaller packets and are the next item.
  10. As I read in Sport Compact Car magazine, the US way of generating the octane rating is taking the average of the two testing methods R and M(R+M/2). The Japanese way is only using one of the testing method, i forgot which one but it yields a higher octane number of the two tests. Gas from Japan will rate lower using the US averaging method in the states but it will not yield as low as 93 octane. From what I remember reading the article, I would guestimate maybe between 96 to 98 using the averaging method. I think the article was 2 or 3 issues ago.
  11. Hmm...So you are going SR20DET on the 73...will you be selling the L28ET turbo setup? Let me know. I need to check out your cars one of these days. I work in Lake Forest.
  12. I just shipped four 17X7 wheels with 205/17/45 tires from Whittier to San Jose via FedEx. Each box was insured for $260 and weighed 50 pounds. The total cost for shipping was $57. I would recommend FedEx when shipping larger items.
  13. Cyrus, go ahead and send me pics. I'll post them for you. You can send them to my hotmail account. Marcos
  14. I was thinking the same thing Cody. I was also thinking about what Benardd said about doing it yourself. How hard is it really to learn how to and program your own memory chips? I was originally thinking this until I saw that "JWT sells ECUs capable of 450hp"... or they say so.
  15. Datsunan, is that the same ECU that I posted the link to. So how much hp are you seeing at the wheels? Will that 450hp number be on race fuel? I haven't contacted them yet.
  16. Check out this ECU that I found on the JWT website. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/customer_part_detail.asp?PartID=88 Is anyone running this ECU? The price seems fair too.
  17. Congrats...looking good. When do you expect you will fire it up. I felt a little better today so started working on the 83 ZXT engine i bought. I will take off the turbo and valve cover tomorrow and see if there are any serious problems.
  18. I was hoping to continue the renovation work on my house and maybe start tearing into the 83 ZXT engine I picked up last week but picked up the flu bug a couple of days ago and had a fever yesterday. Then we find out that a close family friend's daughter that had a cancerous tumor removed last April and is almost done with the last chemo treatment, might have a tumor again. She is going for more tests today and she is only three years old. Her name is Brianna, keep her in your prayers guys. She and her family needs them bad right now. Talk about a $hitty "New Years". Sorry, but I had to vent.
  19. I found this list on MSN. Don't know who's corrupt though so donater beware. http://www.msnbc.com/modules/interactive.asp?id=/d/ip/tsunami_aid_04/data.js&navid=6758618
  20. Me too...Merry Xmas and stay safe. Hope you have a good one Mike, it sucks not being able to spend the holidays with family.
  21. I think the power is there to push a Z but are the actual internals of the engine strong enough to push the weigh of the Z around for long?
  22. It did look like they were automatics. Is it so hard to just floor it and go. Did you see the guy in the second race that let off early and lost the race. I would have beat his a$$ if I was in his team. HE JUST LOST ME A 240Z!!!!! LOL
