  1. Are these part numbers for the complete pinion assemblies or just the cogs. I went to the dealer and tried to purchase a 32702-02G17 pinion assembly and a 32702-F6118 (for a 3.7 diff) and they quoted me around $40 for each. I knew the 32702-02G17 number was the pinion assembly, but I though the 32702-F6118 was just an 18 tooth cog that I could swap out on the 32702-02G17 pinion assembly. So i'm thinking that the 32702-F6118 is a complete pinion assembly with an 18 tooth cog mounted on it already. dapiper, can you or someone else verify that this is correct so I can order the correct pinion assembly. Thanks.
  2. I have one to add about the owner of the last place I use to work at. 1. Your boss thinks that it is easy to replace a very skilled employee that quits with another employee with the same level of skills and experience. Quoting him, "If a God leaves, i'll find me another God...for less." Funny thing is that he was never able to prove that true. The replacement employees never came close in skill level.
  3. Have you tried replacing the lock washers with new high quality lock washers? If they are the original ones, they may not be locking the bolt anymore.
  4. If the valve seals are fine, try checking down the length of the intake and exhaust runners in the head. Just thinking, since it is a ported head, maybe a thin area in a wall cracked and is leaking oil and/or coolant into the runner/s, and then leaking down into the exhaust manifold and also going passed the valve/s onto the piston.
  5. The length of suspension travel will lessen with shorter springs. I don't believe that will be a good thing. I would recommend that you have them installed the way they were intended to be installed. Hope you can have them do that without any problems. Good luck.
  6. That worked out really well. I will probably do the same thing if and when I decide to do this. The only different thing that I will do is cut down the original vent tube so it doesn't end up as long.
  7. That engine is in this Z. The car is simply amazing from top to bottom. I've seen it at the MSA shows. I think the owner may be a member of the forum. Nice guy, met him at one of the MSA shows a while ago. I think excessive heating will damage powdercoating. Maybe someone can chime in on ideas on how to get this done without damaging the powdercoating.
  8. Just as Tony described...It should come out looking like this:
