  1. My Z at an autocross last weekend. I sold these flares but the new owner let me use them until I make a mold. Cool Guy.
  2. I swapped out the automatic in my 73 to a 5 speed. there are a lot of threads about this, but one on another site helped me the most. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread21274.html
  3. A member is selling these kind of flares which aren't made anymore. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/104213-masmsa-street-flares/
  4. Look what's in England. 15x8 Matt Bronze. Only 4x100 now but I have my fingers crossed.
  5. Click on the top link in my signature and half way down are 3 more pictures. I sold them to a racer who runs a Factory Five Cobra and is now building a Ford powered track Z.
  6. Just the top of the bubble is filled in with say floral foam and glassed to blend into the body. It takes away some of the sharp angle where the bubble meets the body. It takes less skill than blending the bubble flare around the whole curve as was was done on my brothers car. The body shop started with a bubble flare and filled in around the crescent. Looking at your front flares I'm not sure it would work as well. There is not much room to the top of the fender.
  7. Here is a clever way to blend in a bubble flare by filling in the top area.
  8. I sold my flares pictured here that are close if not the same ones on the red car you posted. The fronts are actual left over IMSA flares bought from IMSA racer, Bob Lapp. I agree that they are not as wide as the other IMSA flares I have. Not much help I'm afraid because I have never come across similar fenders again.
  9. Here are 3 more that look like they have the recessed jack point.
  10. Oh, this was from August - Still, here is a fantastic Ford into Z website and the mounts that he sells. http://lainefamily.com/240Z_V8_Conversion.htm http://www.technoversions.com/
  11. I've seen national autocross champions do worse starts with those mini racing clutches. Here is one with him autocrossing at the midpoint of this video,
  12. Those are YZ front and rear flares, an IMSA style 3 piece spoiler and a Xenon front airdam. John Washington offers headlight buckets grafted into the YZ fenders. Info is on this page of his website, item 3. http://www.reactionresearch.com/280yzgallery.html http://www.reactionresearch.com/280yz/stockheadlights.jpg
  13. Here is another pic of my rotisserie with the counterweight added. I'm really surprised no one else does this, it makes rotating the car easy - one finger easy.
  14. I'm in need of some Bad Dog Frame Rails - front and rear sections to fit a 240Z. I am in the Sacramento CA. area. Steve http://www.baddogparts.com/
  15. Found some local. Thanks.
  16. I know of one IMSA owner who is using take-off racing rain tires to fit his wide 15 inch wheels. This is illegal (not D.O.T. approved) and dangerous because of the thin sidewalls. Larger diameter wheels seems the way to go, 17 at least. I couldn't find any street tires in 16 that are wide enough and short enough in diameter. I don't know of any inexpensive combinations for the street. Here's one with 17 inch wheels.
  17. It looks like the old Jim Cook Racing California Z body kit. I don't know if they are still made.
  18. steve,

well not sure he did not tell me a price but just was expressing that the car is slower than what he had remembered so I told him to do an LS swap it will take care of all those problems, call me if you want to know more

  19. Your dad's old car has resurfaced and is now back in the hands of Joel Anderson. He has it for sale so hmmm, maybe I could sell one of my kids.
  20. Here is the Emod Sprite's youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/7parts#p/u That was a well done video, and a student no less.
  21. slownrusty,I'm jealous of your pose with the Playmate! I never got that up close and personal, all business.
  22. I worked with 2 of the PMOY's in the 80s, Barbara Edwards and Donna Edmonson. Here's the video I shot of Barbara Edwards for Evening Magazine in San Francisco back when my job was fun. and here is our crew with Donna Edmonson at the front door of the mansion. Jalopnik article pics
  23. I didn't save the e-mail but it could have been member MichaelZcar who works at Motorsport Auto.
