  1. Im sorry tony I could of sworn a long time ago i saw a picture in your photo album that had a picture of you bolting a red custom bellhousing onto an L-block for a transmission. Guess i was wrong. Sorry. This was back when i was on Zcar alot. hrmmm
  2. Its not the part on the case we are worried about for the pcv system. Its the other end. DId you cap off the pcv valve? Or did you just put a filter on teh crank case vent and call it good? If that is what you did i think we found your problem. Tony i completely agree with everything you said. We all know its hard to help some one figure a problem out when we arent at the car. Its even harder when you have someone that isnt experienced with cars telling you what its doing because it could be something completely irrelevantly that they are telling you. He bought the car already swapped so he is just trying to uncover the PO's mistakes. Which we all know is twice as hard to figure out.
  3. Is there any place that is letting unmetered air in after the afm? like where did the crank case vent went to maybe idk. If you had pics it would help alot.
  4. Tony. I had my afm located on the fender bolted upside down. I had the afm boot cut in half and then mounted that way. From what i could tell it had no ill effects. I had the car running perfectly in my opinion.
  5. Im the one that told him that. Its not really noticeable to the naked eye but it does put little divots on the bearings and the races. its just standard practice in the mechanic field to replace a bearing for this reason when you have to pull it using the outer race.

  10. Lol They are holding out ok actually. The first few days they where getting sore but i think they are getting used to sanding by now.
  11. Ok update time. Its been a while. Ive been busy. Ive got the whole car except the hood bondo'ed up. The panels arent perfect yet but they are good enough for me to do guide coats and it will go so much easier. Oh ya i also got all the zg's mounted on both sides. So i have a few more coats of high build on the car right now and ill prolly do another one tomorrow, and then ill start a guide coat and ill block sand. Well here is the pics, these will get everything up to date.
  12. -engine= L28ET stock rebuilt with 2mm mhg. compression is at like 7.1 -turbo= holset HE351cw -Exhaust system-4inch custom dp to 3" exhaust. all mandrel bent. - Boost-running 16psi if lugged in 4th i hit positive pressure at like 2400-2500rpm and full boost at like 3100-3200rpm -ECU= MSNS1 v3 -460 CC high z rx7 injectors -HP=dont know yet people say around 300hp
  13. Those are nice cars. A girl i dated had one and it was a blast to rev that motor to what? 9k? Oh be careful where you park it. A good car thieve can be gone in that car in like i think its like 20 seconds with no damage to the car what so ever. The seats are really comfy also
  14. I have a 3 inch dynomax muffler with a center/bottom set up and it is quiet. going down the interstate i can barely hear my car.

  16. Honestly ive been on the opposite side of this being the guy that had a lot of stuff come up and i think you handled it nicely. Just by putting it out there and saying your willing to take it public just makes the person realize that they have been lax on getting it out. In my circumstance I honestly didnt realize it had been that long until he posted a thread like this one. Glad you got it all worked out.

  18. I wasnt saying anything about stock brakes. I have all those parts he has in his room actually ON my car and running 16psi. and im running stock brakes. But they are functioning very well.
  19. You can also make a holder that will bolt to the intake. It has worked fine for me.
  20. you dont need the spacer if you reclock your turbo. I did not need a spacer. and i just fabbed up my own dp.
  21. for 250hp you can do that on the stock turbo. for 300 you will need a bigger one. You will also need a intercooler. Stock internals are good up to around 400hp. So is the cam and head.
  22. thats fine but more than likely your motor is in good shape the way it sits unless it sat outside open for a while... These motors are pretty much bullet proof.
  23. Ok i apologize. Either i misread your heading or you changed it. I thought it said "L6 matted to a Z32 tranny." Which is a combo that is done all the time and Im sure there are stickies about. Im sorry. Just been getting frustrated with people asking questions that there is even stickies covering the exact question at hand. I believe the swap your talking about is a road less traveled
  24. Why are you tearing apart the motor again? Have you done a compression check? I honestly say if the compression is ok just leave it alone.
  25. pyro.. why are you so set on low imp. injectors? thats a great thing about megasquirt. It can run either or. The holsets are amazing turbo's. I have a Holset HE351cw i have a stock motor and cam and i hit boost threshold at 2400rpm if i lug it in 4th and have full boost at 3000-3100rpm so how is that not a good turbo considering its boost characteristics are very similar to the stock t3? It doesnt run out of steam on top either. i run it to 6k all the time. No it doesnt keep building power but its not falling off like the stock t3 does either.
