  1. Honestly ive been on the opposite side of this being the guy that had a lot of stuff come up and i think you handled it nicely. Just by putting it out there and saying your willing to take it public just makes the person realize that they have been lax on getting it out. In my circumstance I honestly didnt realize it had been that long until he posted a thread like this one. Glad you got it all worked out.

  3. I wasnt saying anything about stock brakes. I have all those parts he has in his room actually ON my car and running 16psi. and im running stock brakes. But they are functioning very well.
  4. You can also make a holder that will bolt to the intake. It has worked fine for me.
  5. you dont need the spacer if you reclock your turbo. I did not need a spacer. and i just fabbed up my own dp.
  6. for 250hp you can do that on the stock turbo. for 300 you will need a bigger one. You will also need a intercooler. Stock internals are good up to around 400hp. So is the cam and head.
  7. thats fine but more than likely your motor is in good shape the way it sits unless it sat outside open for a while... These motors are pretty much bullet proof.
  8. Ok i apologize. Either i misread your heading or you changed it. I thought it said "L6 matted to a Z32 tranny." Which is a combo that is done all the time and Im sure there are stickies about. Im sorry. Just been getting frustrated with people asking questions that there is even stickies covering the exact question at hand. I believe the swap your talking about is a road less traveled
  9. Why are you tearing apart the motor again? Have you done a compression check? I honestly say if the compression is ok just leave it alone.
  10. pyro.. why are you so set on low imp. injectors? thats a great thing about megasquirt. It can run either or. The holsets are amazing turbo's. I have a Holset HE351cw i have a stock motor and cam and i hit boost threshold at 2400rpm if i lug it in 4th and have full boost at 3000-3100rpm so how is that not a good turbo considering its boost characteristics are very similar to the stock t3? It doesnt run out of steam on top either. i run it to 6k all the time. No it doesnt keep building power but its not falling off like the stock t3 does either.

  12. :search: This is becoming my standard reply when people are being lazy and dont search. Sorry if it comes across as rude but people are wanting to get spoonfed the answers and arent willing to search for them. This is the second time today that this basic question has been asked. Which shows you did nothing more than just ask your question and not searched at all.
  13. Its not that we are being stingy or lazy with the info we have. Its just that we KNOW its out there because we have all found it. We also found out tons of other information about turbo's and cars and just the z car in general along the way.
  14. hahahaha i wish. and of course this is alot nicer than my last set up. For one it actually has a decent sized intercooler. the starion was great for the stock turbo but just wasnt going to cut it with the big Holset. I do still need to do some ducting to get it to work more efficently but I think i have enough on my plate right now. Ya know with repainting my whole car and all lol. Here is my photobucket url.   15. WOW thats the first time someone has used pictures of my vehicle on hybridz!!! I havent noticed any issues with it. if you where really concerned you could always wrap your cold pipe in insulation to keep heat away from it.

  17. I dont have a header design to give them.... I could say go ahead and make one and see what they make but it probably wouldnt be what we want. So im kinda at a loss also on what to do. Any input would be great.

  19. Dude stop getting defensive. We arent attacking you. Im planning on switching to disk in the back also. I personally just want to make sure you go after the culprit of the problem and not throw disks on thinking you fix it and then your disks lock up also. I am by NO means a purist. Ive been spending the last couple hours hacking up my Perfect fender lips so I can run ZG's And my car will be getting a 2jz-gte when the zxt blows up. I just want to see you do a good job on your car and actually fix the problem and not just throw parts at it till it works. Its just a wast of money and time doing that. Good luck.
  20. Easy there turbo. He wasnt pointing fingers at you. The point is a good working drum system works fine for the street. Your system was not defective. Defective means there was a part that broke when it shouldnt of. I dont think you can call any part on our cars defective after 30+ years of service. Your system just wasnt maintained well. Not saying you neglected it just that i was neglected. and honestly it sounds like you have a problem with your E-brake set up that might not be in the drums them self it might be in the mechanism and that its not releasing correctly.
  21. EFFING PRICELESS!!!! lol I vote sticky. Battlesquaddatsun we are not trying to discourage you from doing this swap. We would honestly love you to do the swap. We just dont want to tell you information that we all know is out there and has been covered a million times. Its one of the rules on here that i think hasnt been reinforced lately and its been getting worse.
