I was only giving an example. No im running a tial knock off from silliconintakes.com. It works great for me but would not for you because your wanting to recirculate yours and it doesnt have anyway to do that. And blaming ignorance and a lack of communication to what your trying to get across on your AGE is ridiculous. There is members on here that are 18 and under that communicate just fine with us "older folks" (im only 25 btw so its a joke)

Alright guys Ive contacted SSAC and im waiting on a reply. I asked for a quote on them making this manifold so we will see what happens.

Rallycross beater - What car would you use and why?
jeffer949 replied to Lukaniuk's topic in Non Tech Board
My friend works for grassroots motorsports and he has been doing alot of autocross. In all kinds of crappy cars like you have suggested. If your trying to go for fast go with AWD. If your wanting sheer fun factor go with a RWD. He hates driving the neon they have. Is the audi you mentioned AWD? and the subie would always be a good choice -
I thought the same thing!!! He was down south for a Lexus meet this weekend and im sure he would love to stretch the legs on his turbo 2jz lexus. But i have a feeling his top speed would be a little higher!!!

Thanks alot!!!! I think im leaning towards painting everything. Doesnt have that mean look but it gives it more class i think. Makes it look sleeker

Alright every body Ive been busy doing all the "little thing" that need to get done like sanding all the door jambs and the inside of the doors, filling alot of little imperfections, and all that jazz. It is taped up right now and im going to lay down 3-4 coats of high build primer tomorrow morning and then ill do my final block sanding along with guide coats. Its getting really close to being ready. Im getting really nervous because im going with such a dark color that if i mess up on the body work it will really show. Oh ya i also fixed the rust spot on the rear deck. I made that patch panel out of just some flat stock i had laying around. Im pretty stoked how it turned out. I was impressed it came out so nice considering i didnt have a break and i made it with only a vice and a hammer lol And on to the pictures!!!! Guide coat on half the car. pictures of the rear deck repair.

when i upgraded from my R180 that had a 3.36 i went with a 3.7 r200 lsd. loved the lsd but HATED the gearing and so did the turbo motor. I had a 3.54 r200 out of my parts car so i swapped the lsd carrier over to the 3.54. It is so much better. you dont have to shift as much as with 3.7. its worth the effort but i still will buy a 3.36 if i ever come across one and have the cash.

17" wheels with zg fenders
jeffer949 replied to blackwidow's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
they just cant update the first pages of the thread. its been to long. Start reading about on page 25. -
Also 1/4" vacuum line isnt going to be NEARLY big enough. If your only wanting to run 1/4" hose you might as well not even run a bov because it wont be able to vent fast enough to release any pressure. My BOV Has a 50mm piston that raises to release all the air. thats 2 inches. Most have an outlet size around an Inch to 1 1/4inches
-
Its called a recirculating bov. Any RS or S type bov can do it you just need the proper fittings. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOV-TURBO-BLOW-OFF-VALVE-TYPE-RS-HONDA-INTEGRA-ACCORD_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ006QQitemZ160264658537QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW This is all you need. and instead of letting it vent to the engine bay you run a hose from the outlet to the inlet to the turbo in between your air filter and your turbo inlet. Petty much any BOV that has a single outlet that has a horn or trumpet on it is normally threaded in and can be replaced with a fitting to connect a hose. This is the type you should be looking for Any of the RS or S types on ebay will work. you just have to get the correct fitting then. Some do come with it so just look for it. You really need to work on describing what your talking about and how you type things out. Until challenger deciphered what you where asking I doubt to many had a clue what you where talking about. It was the same way with your rotating the housing thread.

17" wheels with zg fenders

The group buy is allready happening. People have allready gotten there wheels including me -
Ok guys Now we are getting somewhere. When i bought a zxt stock manifold SSAC actually paid to have the item shipped to them. and im sure they would agree to pay to ship it back. So i would not be to concered with shipping. I will be notifying SSAC tonight about the progress and hopefuly we can get this on the way.
-
Honestly if they where just put in. and they used alot of antisieze it should really just slide out somewhat. you might have to use a long bolt to lightly tap them out. but it should come out easily
-
Id throw some money in also.
-
Ok I want to eleminate the problem of the pcv set up so we can move on. In the picture below i have a picture of a zxt intake. The thing with the circle around it is the pcv valve. That valve needs to have a hose connected between itself and the crank case vent that fell out. The crank case vent tube needs to be air tight also. That whole system has to be air tight in order to function correctly. Make sure you have that done correctly and then we can move on.

Im sorry tony I could of sworn a long time ago i saw a picture in your photo album that had a picture of you bolting a red custom bellhousing onto an L-block for a transmission. Guess i was wrong. Sorry. This was back when i was on Zcar alot. hrmmm
-
Its not the part on the case we are worried about for the pcv system. Its the other end. DId you cap off the pcv valve? Or did you just put a filter on teh crank case vent and call it good? If that is what you did i think we found your problem. Tony i completely agree with everything you said. We all know its hard to help some one figure a problem out when we arent at the car. Its even harder when you have someone that isnt experienced with cars telling you what its doing because it could be something completely irrelevantly that they are telling you. He bought the car already swapped so he is just trying to uncover the PO's mistakes. Which we all know is twice as hard to figure out.
-
Is there any place that is letting unmetered air in after the afm? like where did the crank case vent went to maybe idk. If you had pics it would help alot.
-
Tony. I had my afm located on the fender bolted upside down. I had the afm boot cut in half and then mounted that way. From what i could tell it had no ill effects. I had the car running perfectly in my opinion.

KA 5 gear swap using Z bellhousing; The low down...
jeffer949 replied to datsunlover's topic in Drivetrain
Im the one that told him that. Its not really noticeable to the naked eye but it does put little divots on the bearings and the races. its just standard practice in the mechanic field to replace a bearing for this reason when you have to pull it using the outer race. -
The only guy Ive heard of running it is Tony D. Id pm him and ask for some input.

should i paint my z with original color?
jeffer949 replied to srdub-t's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Do what you want. but if you do a color change paint the jambs and every thing. -
I believe TonyD had one mated to one. for the LSR car. you might ask him

How much does Vinzxt want for it?
