  1. I'm also from the Memphis area. This is why I wish V-Bulletin had a member search feature that used location as a filter.
  2. as far as i'm conderned, that car's road to ruin all started with the addition of that god-forsaken sunroof.
  3. Hmmmm. Would the 260Z setup work? maybe....until the car warmed up. I made the mistake of going with these carbs and ended up with the thermolock issues everyone else has with these "boat anchors". Ditch the flat top carbs and get the nicer, rounder, bell top SU carbs. since it's a combined gasket, might as well get a header to throw onto the car too. don't froget to replace the fuel pump with a lower pressure unit.....like......I did. call dude from Z Therapy if you want bulletproof answers on the subject.
  4. yeah, was trying to find a picture rather than a video, but i'm just gonna take a screenshot out of the vid. thank you, sir, lol.
  5. or........put teflon tape on it and put it back in......then it wouldn't leak unless you have the bolt out....you don't plan on driving without all the bolts in you tranny do you, lol.
  6. ...............wait, isn't everything a challenge on a Z31? not familiar with them, but do the bolts go into the through the bellhousing and into the block? if so, one of the bolts might have broken through the water jacket....not good. I would drain the coolant, put JB Weld on the tip of that bolt, and tighten it back in if that's the case. that's the only way i can think to plug it without disassembling and taking block to machine shop......
  7. For the life of me, I can't devise any excuse as to why I can't find a picture of Bobcat Goldthwait setting the Tonight Show special guest chair ablaze. I have looked everywhere, and perhaps my ability to scour and find nearly anything on the net is just taking a nap. Anyone able to help me on this? No photoshops, smartasses!
  8. well i refuse to make fun of this guy since, after spending an hour looking EVERYWHERE in my friggen storage unit for a deep 14mm socket.......i reached into my pocket and found it.
  9. man, that trip would be worth it for the laugh induced sore gut i'd get from all the ridiculous engrish.
  10. very cool, thanks for the info.....i learn something new on this site everytime i log in
  11. uuuuhhhhhh, I wasn't aware the L24 had an OEM injector.....weren't they only carbureted? were they in another model?
  12. If it's gonna look dumb (pardom me for assumining that it will) then you should at least make it funny. I wanna see a minivan style door sliding back on a metal track. Whaddaya say? S30 crossover vehicle.
  13. Wow, I don't care if it drives in circles with the wheels pointed straight. Those look great. I really wish I had the tools and the Know-how to accomplish something like that. Great job.
  14. I feel differently. I hate when members play the moderator role, feigning righteousness. The mods and admins here do a pretty damn good job without the excess help. I mean really, how many bouncers need to stand in front of the velvet rope? let the mods and admins do their job. The pseudo-mod posts rank as high in my book as the post queens' tidbits, which include but are not limited to things like, "ditto", or "+1", or "bump", or "try search function". Trying too hard to do someone else's job is just as counterproductive as not doing your own job.
  15. if they're the ones i bought from JCW last year (and they appear to be since the stock photo is the same) then they're not super tall like the cheapie DAD racing junk on eBay. but FWIW, if you want the best seats on the market, go to memoryfab's sight. their carbon back seat are the bomb.com!!!! sexiest sat on the market. not 159/pair mind you.....
  16. agreed, don;t really care for those either. but they look more tastefully done than the mr2's with hidden weldd in angle iron supporting the new panels, lol.
  17. simply observed that the guy in the vid was hispanic, and the 3 guys with "widebody" mr2 here are s well. the "vato zone" insert s an age old crack and shouldn't offend anyone with a sense of humor.
  18. could be worse, you could be this "flushness" seeking cheapskate i keep seeing on zilvia.net. tell how safe you think this is.
  19. that is horrid, but not at all uncommon. i used to have an sw20 like that and would always see the same thing being done. ouch. funny, they all seemed to be hispanic, too. then they'd throw all the little stupid neon bells and whitsles on it from 'that aisle' in vato zone, pardon me, auto zone. ick.
  20. (chuckles at himself) upon reading only the reading only the first couple sentences, i couldn't help but think how much of an ill-informed, stuck-up, colossal douche this guy was. then i realized it was all sarcasm after i finished it. i thought for sure that you thought you were one of only a couple people who had done the swap. geez, you got me on that one. (thumps himself in the forehead for jumping to conclusions).
  21. i'm gonna shoot the Best Buy monkey that resides on my back. the remainder will go towards cleaning his brains off the wall.
  22. they ran that deal about a year ago and i bought them for the 240sx. in most cases, you get what you pay for, but these are a great find. they bolt up to the standard Bride/Corbeau/Sparco mounts, and they're way too high quality for them to be making ANY money off of them. good seats, for friggen GREAT price. btw, the red fades, would suggest another color. however, my car is ALWAYS parked in the sun, so maybe you'll have better luck.
