    With that bright of a yellow I would suggest a gray or gun metal color for the tail light panel and vents. Black will set the parts off too much IMO.

    I have a couple of magazines from "back in the day" I think it was Car Craft that swapped in a V8 to a Red Z car that got my attention. I have some of the old Jim Cook catalogs as well. Love to see the old school stuff. Maybe start a new thread called "post a picture of your old school pictures"

    I think you might be on to something, I noticed in one of you pictures that you might not have the stock core support configuration. On my cars the upright on the core support was trimmed to support the hood from being able to be pushed down too far. Now that you have it set under normal conditions maybe you can add a bumper to keep it from pushing down.

    Can you send pictures of how it is actually mounted to the hinges? I am wondering if the holes are slotted or not. Can you tell if the hinges have extra play in them?

    Bartman, Can you email me a close up picture of the hood mounted to the hinges? I just went and tried to pull up on my hood and I get a little bit of movement due to hinge "sloppyness". It only moves about 1/16". The missing hood springs should not be causing the problem since they are only for holding the hood up. I don't have my springs in either.

    Where along the hood is it lifting? I think you ended up with a hood I sold to a local guy that ended up selling his car with the hood. I am trying to remember which configuration he requested.

    I am 6' 7" and have two 75's that I "fit" in, I probably don't look comfortable to others but for a small sports car it is about the only choice. 70 to 78 coupes no problem, 79 to 95 you will need to look to the 2+2's.

    I have that exact same hood on both cars:) awd92gsx was one of the first customers of my hoods, but it isn't carbon fiber. I have checked into carbon fiber but was advised against it by the experts based on the bias of the carbon fiber weave. If anyone has any questions please fire away and of course the order window is always open.

    A friend of mine used a less expensive kit from ebay and it was very good quality and about half the price of Painless.

    Hmmm, did all that yesterday and only got to carbon fiber tail light panels, but working today. Looks good, now the fun begins. It seems to be easier to get motivated once paint is on.

    Come on gearhead, cut him a break, not everyone will know the whole story behind that race. Welcome aboard, if you thought the PINKS race was good, check out some of the rides around here. Very impressive cars and knowlegable people.

    Just got back home a couple of hours ago and am I sore. Sorry I couldn't get back in touch, I was limited to shuttle services for my transportation. Vegas is as fun as ever and SEMA goes on for miles. 2 solid days of walking and then off to APEX. I'll probably be there again next year, so we should try to get lodging to gether to take advantage of the down time, to compare notes.
