If you need a set of shorty headers, let me know I have a couple of extra sets.

I have 240Z, door and both styles of 280Z doors so if you need any measurements let me know. I think the only difference between the 280 doors is the location of the door lock pull. To over come this I would design the panels with no door lock pull and mold in reliefs on the inside for each style. Then the buyer can drill the hole where they need it and it won't require two different molds. The 260 and 280 armrests and door pulls have the same mounting holes, but the 240's are different.

I have a set of those too and I think you are correct they are called minilites. For price they are worth what ever someone will pay. Some people like them others don't.

Yes, it will work fine but it will leave a huge mess!

I try to do all of my own maintenance and building, but of all of the tasks changing oil is the biggest pain in the arse because I don't have any place to put the old oil. I still do it but if I were to quit doing anything it would be changing oil first on my list.

Insurance should pay for replacement cost not what you paid. It still really sucks, good luck with the "rebuild".

I just went though this same question in my head but decided to run it the stock configuration. If you run it your way let me know how it works out, I might reconsider reconfiguration.

I have thought about this style prior to creating the SS style hood however I don't think the configuration of the engine and radiator allow enough room to make it look good IMO.
