  1. Well last night was the official first cruise out of the shop with the car. Today was the first car show with the car, we waste no time lol. All is well and the car turned a few heads for sure. Most didn't know what was in the engine bay and when I told them they looked amazed. This car is going to be just silly for sure. I also got my recovered Recaro's and my door panels/stereo in the car too. Big thanks to my wife for supporting me through this!
  2. I have 225/50/16 up front on my XXR 002 rims (0 offest) and have NO problems at all with eibach springs on my 280Z. I also have 245/45/16s out back with no rubbing so far under acceleration or bumbs.
  3. sportmax 002's with 225/50 up front and 245/45 out back, lowered on eibach's
  4. What center caps are you running on those up front at the XXR ones don't clear my grease caps
  5. I used the JTR with coating. TIGHT install but they seem to do the job so far.
  6. Thanks. It definately was not done by my hand so I will pass along the kind words. I'm happy with them for sure, my wife chose how to do the two tone so she gets the design credit . Just need to get the car back to install them and I'll be good to go !
  7. For those who wanted pics...wrinkling is from transport in my civic, it was a little tight.
  8. Here are some pics of what these can look like when they are finished in leather. These are his panels, his door handles and the mitsu door pulls. Speakers are 6.5" mid and 1" tweeter.
  9. Nope. this one that is from JCI (http://www.brokenkitty.com/)
  10. I know how you feel. here's the first test of my LS1 (with ls6 intake, 224/224 cam, JTR headers) http://procision-auto.com/ProAuto/Datsun_LS1/idle_test.mpg
  11. This is why a lot of people downsize rims for track use tires... i have a MUCH larger sidewall for my drag tires (235/60) versus my driver tires (245/45)... more sidewall flex + grippier compound= more traction:)
  12. I have a 255GPH walbro that I bought from JCI for my swap that I'm not using... $150shipped (and i'm in canada) if you are interested...
  13. I've got a walbro 255 that JCI sells with their kit that i'm not using anymore. it was installed on my car but i took it out before the car left the shop as i ended up upgrading my entire fuel system. . They are $175+shipping new, I'd do $150 shipped. let me know jason
  14. That was awesome! That'll be something both of you remember for a long time.
  15. I just got a set and a half of the XXR 513 rims... 16x8 for daily and 15x8 for drag radials for track use... fairly light all in all, around 16lbs maybe and they are decently wide enough to get some sticky rubber on them (as above (245's for me for daily)... I'll be using MT 235/60/15 Drag Radials at the track which should hook nicely. check them out... these are the 15's. PS like the finish on my garage floor? lol
  16. This also could be a contender. I had issues with my grand prix over the MAf having crap on it... definately worth a look as its quick and easy to check.
  17. This is exactly what I'm going to run on my LS1 Z, 245's out back and 225's in the front. I still have to roll the fenders when the car gets out of the shop.
  18. on a 7" rim i would try to go with a 215 or maybe a 225 if possible. a slightly larger contact patch would probably be benificial for you
  19. hunting idle to me would say vaccuum leak somewhere...second would be th O2 sensors
  20. my only question is simple. what does a civilian do with such a weapon?
  21. not planning on doing the rear panels. the interior really isn't in bad shape in the car to begin with. should it look out of place I'll get more leather and do them but for now this should be good enough.
  22. Well I don't give up on anything and this project has moved forward finally. I sourced my own leather hides for this and will be doing black with grey inserts on the seats and panels. I have the hides here already and will be dropping it all off to get put together next tuesday in Guelph. The guys were really good to me and are just charging for labour to fabricate/install now. In the end its costing me less than they quoted me and its all leather. Will update with pictures when I have some to post. Also my driveshaft for my LS1 swap came in the mail
  23. unrealy i didn't realize how small it was till the pic of you in the engine bay... and the excursion pic, priceless. Gunna be sweet for sure!
  24. I love this quote. I say leave it also based on the original post. not worth the hassel and frustration, heck even some runners aren't worth the headache associated with making them 'nice' again after they've sat for so long
  25. janaka

    Tire wear

I'd get a front end inspection and an alignment. Sounds like huge negative camber up front. G'luck
