  1. I just used the universal kit and there were several parts that fit the window crank. There were no issues finding one that worked for me.
  2. Nice tag, I like it. I want to get one for my Z but I've got no idea what it should be...lol Beautiful car BTW!
  3. i'll second the civic idea. i drive a new one and this thing is amazing on gas, my friend has a TDI jetta and he says he can't get anywhere near the rated milage on it. around here deisel is MORE expensive than gas... eek.
  4. dynamat is quite expensive IMO, there are others (eDead, Brownbread etc) that will do the same job for considerably less. I used edead for my doors/floors/tunnel/spare well areas and probably spent no more than $65 if I had to guess.
  5. That looks awesome Jerry, you sure make it hard to have the nicest Z in town I can't wait to see that machine in person again! Jason
  6. I love the liquid silver type colours...such a good colour on the Z! You'll love that colour in the sun after a good polish!
  7. Sweet looking hood. A little more than I'd like. I recently found a cowl hood that added about 2" of clearance or so that was just enough to be different without being overpowering. Good luck, I personally love that CF hood. I'd be all over it if I didn't have the one I've got now
  8. I havent been sick of the Z, its the stress relief car. My daily driver though is another story. I'd like to drive it into a post if I could walk away unhurt most days... oh well such is life.
  9. will the R230 drop in and not need a new driveshaft? i know its not a "drop in" replacement itself but once installed the existing DS can be re-used? I'm just looking for clarification as my LS1 is going in and I would like to have an option ready for a diff for when my R200 goes... thanks in advance for any help.
  10. excellent job. that looks amazing for a deadening job to me..lol i've got edead in the rear hatch area already and will be pulling seats/carpet this weekend to do what you are doing now. is that edead v1 or the thicker stuff?
  11. what clutch are you using in it? any mods to the LS1?
  12. I was lucky enough to get a steal on a Fibreglass cowl hood for my Z and an even better steal to have it painted by a friend for an old block I had sitting around. The hood doesn't have the hood latch at the back like the stock steel hood so I will have to use hood pins to hold it down (has stock hinge at the front). Can all those with hoods using hood pins please post pictures of the hood closed and open so I can see the position of the pins on the hood and how they are mounted in the engine bay. Thank you (and happy Easter to those who celebrate) Jason
  13. This is a 280Z on eibach springs. 215.45.17 tires, not super "dumped" but it handles great and rides like a dream for what it is.
  14. I got a quote for my door panels (fiberglass) and to recover my recaro's... $3500 for leather... not cool
  15. on the back of my AM tach there are switches that you have toggle to be in the right position for a V8, 6cyl or 4cyl... i know that both have to be in the "up" position for V8 (4pulse), both down for a 4cyl (2 pulse) and first down, second up for a 6cyl. (3pulse) Is yours set up properly?
  16. Gotta love my Timmies!!! Next summer I'll be in that pack wth you guys I hope. I was parked next to you at the Ont. Z car show actually I believe!
  17. i'm hoping to pay off my wife's student loans with mine this year and pay for my swap too...lol...
  18. I dont' think anyone is running headers other than the JTR LS1 headers on their Z's. I know a few people around here have custom SBC headers but I personally haven't seen any on an LS1 Z yet.
  19. looks awesome. another two thumbs up here. I was hesitant about no console part but all in all its pretty slick IMO. Now make a place for my change and Tim Horton's cup and we are good to go... Love it! For the american's Tim Horton's is our coffee shop
  20. only issue with roof stuff is that it can smell in the hot heat and smear/sag depending on install (roof/vertical) I use eDead V1 from elemental designs in both my daily drivers and have the back half of the Z done with it too and it works great and I have no issues at all. $1/ft for it too which is a deal IMO. www.edesignaudio.com any type of sound/heat insulation is a must have in these cars IMO unless you are building a full-out race car.
  21. the guy who makes the panels sold them to me. they were extra.
  22. i'm waiting on headers and a rad kit for me LS1 swap.. been about two weeks thus far IIRC... *twidles thumbs*
  23. only a 40hr drive for me... i don't know what my wife would think about that..lol..
