two beautiful Z's in a row.
I'd be more than proud to have either of my Z's look like those, or even be considered to be in the same realm of quality.
two thumbs up
Looking to upgrade to the rear disks for my 260z 2+2.
even just the brackets and I can source the calipers themselves if need be, but prefer entire setup if possible.
Thank you
jason
i used tilton master, stock replacement TOB, flexplate, clutch, pressure plate.
no sense not replacing the throw out bearing if you are in there anyway. Mine was basically done after 40k miles of the previous owner.
I've never had any issues with locking it up on deceleration at all. I'm the kinda guy that prefer's to just take my foot off accelerator vs using a lot of braking so I would have expected to have noticed something if there was an issue. We are at 3000miles on our swap and the clutch. I think it was about $850 for the entire setup.
I'm running a mcLeod single disk (new PP and flywheel put in at same time) and i'm right smack in your power range (haven't dyno'd since new intake/tb and .6sec drop off 1/4mile times).
No chatter whatsoever. grabs great and even my wife can drive the car to and from work without issue.
haha I wish I had that problem.
I upgraded the stock clutch with a McLeod unit w/flywheel when we put the motor in. Hopefully it'll last, but then again I'm no where near the HP level to really cause problems
To be honest I have no idea. It was on the car when I bought the car. Its different thats for sure, its a love it or hate it kind of deal. I think its a nice addition to a 2+2 becuase it doesn't make the car seem as 'long' which is what makes them look like odd balls usually.
I have a T56 and love it. I don't think I'd personally have it any other way, its a ton of fun but then again I have never driven an LSx car that was auto.
That 'was' my R200 3.90:1 diff. Yes that is an open differential*
auto should be a lot easier than a 4500rpm clutch drop on heated Drag Radials on a decently prepped track.
lmao. bang.
I didn't take any other pics during the install in 2007 sorry.
there weren't any real problems getting them in. Just a little messaging of the tunnel on the drivers side if I remember correctly.
