  1. Oh no! Get rid of those Mustangs immediately! I had an '83 5.0 and will never, EVER touch one again...
  2. There are vendors in the US, if you want it shipped out to Japan. Off the top of my head, there is Pierce Manifolds, Redline, Weber Jets, etc... Once you start tuning, search this board and elsewhere online. There is a sticky in the FAQ section as well. There are also books to aid you in the process.
  3. Great article! Thanks for posting, John.
  4. Nice job, reminds me of a straight-pipe 935!
  5. Do you have photos? Wheel diameter?
  6. That 280Z has been on CL before. I'm not sure how set they are on actually crushing it...
  7. I have a lead on a wheel, so if anyone has one then speak up! I'll very likely be on the lookout for a Momo hub as well, let me know if you're willing to part with one in good shape.
  8. I've considered it. Wish I had the space!
  9. I'm looking for a Momo steering wheel (some other brands may work) with the following specs: - leather rim (i.e. no cheap-o vinyl) - silver spokes - 350mm (~13.5") to 360mm (~14") - in good shape, with no tears or nasty blemishes I really like Dave's wheel, so something similar would be great: I've been keeping an eye out on CL and ebay but figured it's worth it to see if someone here has one laying around. Thanks!
  10. I'm slated to go on the dyno August 20th and will test a few exhaust configurations on my L24 with triple Webers and stock exhaust manifold. I'll report the results when I have them!
  11. I'm a mechanical engineer (Cal Poly SLO), currently in injection molding manufacturing. Automotive engineering is on the side for now!
  12. I would grab this one if I didn't already have a Clifford. It's a nice header, have a shop build you some twice pipes imitating the original Datsun Comp setup and you're set! Obviously, this is not my header.
  13. Looks like you need to read up on how the ECU determines injector pulse-width. If you want your ECU calculating fueling based on a constant fuel pressure drop, then that FPR better be hooked up...
  14. Ok...? This is irrelevant, the windshield is interchangeable. Take a look at the OP's question.
  15. Great upgrade, worth every penny. There really is no downside, I doubt you'll have trouble on take-offs with that torquey engine. Don't put that heavy stocker on the back of your stroker!
  16. You don't need as much cross-sectional area as you'd think, definitely not an opening as big as the radiator supports on an S30 allow. It will perform just fine.
  17. Sounds like way more work than necessary. Why not just buy a 280Z tach? My 260Z had a dead tach, that worked only when it wanted to. I bought a 280Z tach off ebay and no problems since.
  18. Ask for a 240Z or 260Z gasket ('70-'74). Which head do you have? Casting number is on right side, by #1 and #2 spark plugs. Stock '78 would be N47.
  19. You should get an intake/exhaust gasket meant for the carb'd Zs, not the FI ones. I'd imagine your intake manifold bolt holes use the SU bolt pattern, not the EFI one. When your manifold is off, I'd also check for straightness to make sure that there is no warpage in the flange.
  20. Nice, those look like Hooker headers. I just bought a set myself!
  21. I have a header fetish. I've been curious since seeing your removed exhaust pipes as to what header you have. Who knows maybe I'll buy it. Trade ya for a stock one!
  22. I'm sure a '69 350 had some sort of smog equipment, like PCV. That is a moot point however, because you cannot put in an engine older than the chassis (e.g. no earlier than a '73 engine in a '73 chassis).
