  1. Very appropriate title! LOL Brings back a funny memory... Me and my buddy were camping out one night back when we were about 12-13. We had a HUGE campfire going and of couse we were playing with the gas that we used to light the fire! Well I decided that it would be cool to write stuff in the sand with the gas and then light it on fire.......well while my name "Guy" was on fire I decieded to lean over and add some more gas to the fire! Yeah I just about burned my face off as I was leaning over because a little too much gas came out of the bucket! Yeah I said bucket! LOL We laugh about it now though! We were also using "supersoakers" that night filled with gas....yeah dumb idea but it sure was fun! LOL Guy
  2. WOW......thats umm.............."cool":twak: Guy
  3. I bet those seats are a 100x softer than the ones that were in there! Very nice! Guy
  4. Yeah its possible to do a V8 swap in a 280ZX if you already have ALL the neccesary tools to do it and work at a junk yard so you can have access to all the little nuts and bolts that you will need to actually do the project! The engine and mounts are the cheap parts of the swap, its all the little stuff that will hurt the pocket book. I personally dont think you can do a V8 swap for $2400 unless you meet the requirements above. Guy
  5. Is there a vent on the tranny? I had that happend at work last week with a Stratus, the vent tube was blocked off causing it to "burp" out fluid at the dipstick tube... Just an idea.... Guy
  6. Im calling BS on this one(not you Auxilary, but the actual guy/webpage), no way could you get caught everyday unless you were drinking on the police stations front door. I would think that after 3 or 4 times he would be held to a longer term than an overnighter. Guy
  7. I get to "double dip" when it comes to tools since my job is an auto tech. So I buy tools for work and get to take them home! So when I buy tools "their for work not home" atleast thats what I'll tell my future wife! LOL Oh and Datsunlover, those wrenchs should be standard in every mechanics box! You will never want to use another regular wrench again. Trust me on this one! Guy
  8. Thats is friggin awesome! I should talk my stepdad into doing that with our 1948 Cesna 172 taildragger! He always talks about wanting more power but doesnt want to spend the big bucks on a bigger engine. The engine in there now only has like 160HP. The LS1 parts sure would be cheaper than airplane engine parts! You thought mark up on car parts was bad you should see in for airplanes! Guy
  9. Funny part is, even after its all painted up, new rims, and show ready.....it will still look stupid! LOL:twak: Guy
  10. Man he never seems to surprize me with how crazy his car is! Maybe with those fata$$ tires in back he will be able to put that 600+HP to the ground! LOL Guy
  11. You know for $450 you could buy an LM-1 wideband O2 and do it yourself. Of course you wont have a piece of paper that says you X amount of HP and X amount of TQ. I bet just running it on the dyno and not tuning it is much cheaper than a "dyno tune session". Thats the way I would go if I were you. Plus you will be able to make changes later and tune as needed and it wont cost you a thing. Just my $.02 Guy
  12. I personally hope that this guy sues that Best Buy for defamation(sp?) of character and wins! I hate stupid people and obviously the people that work at this Best Buy are STUPID! If you don’t know that $2 bills are a legal currency then you shouldn’t be working behind a cash register! Guy
  13. Here ya go Terry.... 10.97 second run Guy
  14. Do you think UPS would pick that up and deliver it to my door? LOL WOW that is one hell of a "rotisserie"! Guy
  15. NICE GOING!!!! Glad to see you reached your goal. I personally cant wait until I finally get to go to the track for the first time with my car! LOL Guy
  16. Hey Cyrus, if you dont like the LM-1 I'll take it off your hands for a reduced price! Guy
  17. Yeah I went through all of it too. My buddy was standing behind me telling me I was a moron for going though all of it! LOL We were both laughing though! Guy
  18. You should be able to use the Nissan condensor and evaporator with out issue. You will just have to fabricate the rest of the system as far as lines, reciever/drier and if you are going to use an orfice tube or H-block system. Then you will have to figure out how to hook it up to the Nissan control head inside the car and then wire it to the PCM so that it "knows" when to turn the comressor on and off. You should also have it wired so that the radiator fan will kick on to a high speed when the A/C is on, IMHO. Oh and welcome aboard! Guy
  19. Ok well I finally have internet access again after almost a week with no Hybridz access! Man that sucked! I just moved out of my parents house. I now live in town instead of out in the country. So I now have BROADBAND access!!!!!!! Yeah I love it! Anyways, I told you(Terry) I would host your videos as soon as I got the internet back so here they are.... 11.01 pass Corzette vs Tubed truck Guy
  20. You can get just those 3 "pigtails" from GM. I think I paid like $12 for the VSS connector and something like $22 for the reverse lock out connector. I dont remember what I paid for the reverse light connector. The connectors arent really all that expensive when you consider what a whole engine harness costs new! Guy
  21. Heck even if a 125 shot doesnt work just crank it up to 150-175! Whats the worst that could happen? Blow up an engine that your going to replace anyways? Unless your planning to sell it? Shaving .44 off should be do able in my opinion. Hopefully you dont just run a 11.00! It would be pretty funny for the rest of us but not for you! Good luck and be sure to get it on video if you run your first 10.99! Email me it if you do and I will post it for ya! Guy
  22. I would just sell everything you got for the old motor and then plan out the new LT1(not LT-1). You should be able to sell all of that pretty easy as a whole set up rather than piece by piece. If you want to keep the rods then you would just have to make sure that the rods will fit on the LT1 crank shaft unless you are going to an aftermarket crank? It would be kind of pointless to go with forged rods and pistons if you arent going to go with a steel crank, atleast in my opinion. Guy
