  8. Thanks Dan ! That will give me a better idea of how to attach mine. Any other pics would be GREAT ! Thanks
  9. How is everyone else mounting their MSA Type 2 bumper? I'm trying to figure out the best way to give the bumper some support from the lower middle portion. Any and ALL pictures are gladly welcome !!! Thanks in advance.
  10. Correct, It's just rubber to metal on the outer strip to the body. If I could do it completely by myself, I know you can do it GL
  11. You can do what I'm currently doing. Use OSPHO. You can buy a 32oz bottle at any hardware store for about 10 bucks. Put it in a spray bottle and go to town. A little bit of it goes a LONG way.
  12. Update: Test fitted my MSA Type 2 bumper, let me know if I can work with this ! Passenger side corner: Driver side corner. Notice how it doesn't fit in the recess as well as the passenger side.... Do you guys think it will be OK to pull up on the bumper a tad to make it line up properly then secure it? Or will it crack over time doing it that way?

  17. Would be nice to see some before/after DYNO comparisons !
  18. I have another question. What product are you guys using to clean the bare metal with BEFORE using Ospho or the like? I thought I had wiped all the sanding/paint residue off my hood before I sprayed it with Ospho, but I didn't. Now there's dried sanding/paint dust in the Ospho coating that I will have to sand off I was thinking of using the 3M wax and grease remover you can buy at any local store. Any more options that I'm not aware of? Thanks
  19. I plan on using something to wipe the metal down with to prep it. Any brands to look for?
  20. I need to get my car painted first, it's still down to bare metal
  21. Congrats ! I really should come by and check out your Z, hell I only live about 45 minutes from you Can we see the time slip? !
  22. Yeah, me too ! I leave it in the garage at ALL times and only bring it out well after any moisture is in the air. It has gotten a few SMALL surface rust areas here and there. I've been keeping up with them and hitting them again with a sander to keep the big rust spots away !
  23. Seems like I JUST had this problem with my setup this past spring.... I had a hardened nut about 3/4"-1" wide welded to each of the axle stops INSIDE the Q45 axle housings on my passenger side. The driver side seems fine atm..... No problems after the nuts were welded in...
  24. Here's an update. I have my welding patches complete now and the rest of the paint has been removed from a few areas I left behind. I also have my MSA Type 2 airdam on order Update pictures. Car as of 11/15/09 Rear Valence Patched driver lower rear side I also got my hood vents fitted and bolted on for visual inspection
