  1. Doc, I've still got a good amount of injector left 10-15% and I've still got a bit left on the methanol, I'm sure with a little more time tuning I could break the 450whp mark. I'm content for this week though, I just want it to perform solidly at SEZ.
  2. I run the blue top 450cc DSM injectors. I'm running them on an O-ring rail with my SDS. I like them alot so far.
  3. Yep, i made about 5-6 more pulls on the dyno yesterday and feel I still have a pretty conservative tune. 418whp 407ft lbs 23.5psi AFR's are 11.5 across the board with methanol injection Total timing at full boost and redline is 19 degrees (Im sure I could add more in here to hit the 450hp mark) Anyways, I'm real happy. I thought it would take a little more boost like 25psi to get my target 420whp. The car feels VERY stout and it appears to be a very safe tune. I'm really looking forward to SEZ, although I'm apprehensive about my 60' times. I was getting the car sideways in 3rd gear even with the DR's on last night. Boo . . .
  4. No, that was with a KA tranny. Thagard made my intake manifold.
  5. 11.8 was my current .080" over motor, factory stroke, 8.5:1 CR. First pass off the street at 18psi with 93 pump gas.
  6. I have to admit man, your car is the quickest L28 that I know of thats currently running down the track. . . So you're number one on my hitlist I think I'll be hitting the dyno again tomorrow for some bigger numbers.
  7. yeah I'm going to be getting near the limits of my single nozzle pretty soon though, I think I have my gain set on 7 out of 8 right now at 20psi.
  8. Lets just say that he got the kick and I didnt bother downshifting and he still got embarrassed, 3 times . . . haha.
  9. I'll have to email myself the charts from the shop this weekend. My turbo is a 60-1 wheel in a ported TO4B housing, Stage V exhaust wheel in a .63 A/R exhaust housing, 360 degree thrust. Courtesy SpeedShopThagard. Its a pretty compact turbo in those housings, kinda deceptive. But it makes decent power and i start making boost at 2800rpms with full boost by 3300. I'll be doing some more tuning tonight. I picked up some colder plugs which i will prolly gap a bit tighter. I'll be watching duty cycles carefully as I increase boost and fuel. Once i get to my desired boost level with safe AFR's I'll be focusing on my timing maps particularly after peak torque.
  10. Right now I'm running 450cc injectors + methanol injection. Thats one reason I didnt do any serious tuning. I need to get out today and see where I'm at with duty cycle before I turn up the wick.
  11. it may just be the characteristics of this turbo, not really sure . . . I'm running the Z32 tranny with a ACT copper-ceramic unsprung 6 puck disc and a Clutchmasters stage 4 (i think) pressure plate. So far so good.
  12. yeah man I expect to see some good numbers from you! BTW somewhere right now there is a SL600 owner that is HATING LIFE, haha.
  13. Because of the stock cam and valvetrain Im letting out at 6k. Power levels off between 5800-6000.
  14. Well I just got my car up and running in preparation for SEZ. I had the car pretty well tuned on about 17psi and wandered over to the dyno today. Nothing serious, I didnt have my laptop for datalogging, I just basically tuned for AFR's. I will be doing some careful tuning over the next few days but . . . Today i made 361whp and 360ft lbs on 19psi and 21 degrees total timing. Outside temps were 90 degrees and about 45% humidity. While tuning on one pass i added 2 degrees of timing and it picked up 16whp so I definitely have some work to do in the timing department. I am shooting for 25psi by the end of the weekend. My goal is about 420whp which should put me close to the 10's if I can pull off a perfect pass. BTW I'm still running a bone stock P90 and cam.
  15. definitely a sweet car overall but those rear flares are hideous.
  16. by the looks of that Lambo, they may not have been very alive.
  17. Yeah those Water Moccasins are no joke. Here in Florida they are common in wet areas. I came across a BIG one a couple months ago, several inches thick. This guy was in a public park and I more than likely would have killed it had I not been with some more "conservative" friends. Only thing is, if you're gonna swing a shovel or something at it, you better get it the first time! Pit Vipers are extremely aggresive.
  18. Good stuff, looks like a ton of fun. A buddy of mine in Chicago had a nice sized turbo with Electromotive EMS on his stock 4 banger. That thing was only packing about 250hp and it was AWESOME.
  19. I'll get around to an LSD one of these days, but so far the car is in the 11's with about 400hp and pullin 1.7 60's on an open 3.54. But I understand ya'll are trying to turn, hehe.
  20. Yes, generally the compressor wheel AND housing are replaced. Most of the time the T3 side is the exhaust side and the T4 side is the compressor side. A TO4B housing will not require any spacer and can be made to accomodate up to a 60-1 wheel, so its a good choice for Compressor housings.
  21. looks like the inspiration for The Italian Job. Cool stuff when they jump the river and land on the boat.
  22. That engine shot is like looking into my future!
  23. Haha, Scottie, I never figured you for a horror film kinda guy. I just figured you're face was glued to SPEED every day.
  24. Certainly every car is a bit different Alex, but i broke stock halfshafts on street tires when my car was running high 13's . . .
