  1. I moved my battery to the trunk area. Then installed a surge tank in the battery location. I am running a low pressure pump from the tank that fills the surge tank. Then after the tank a filter and a MSD255 high pressure pump that feeds the fuel rail. After the fuel rail is the FPR that feeds back to the surge tank. Works well so far. Here are some pics
  2. Looking back on buying them I would have bought the Arizona ones. They have a little more adjustment.. The TTT setup works and was able to get the alignment set up. I was going to use the Z32 rear dif and brakes. So, I just went ahead and bought the complete rear setup for a proven system. Good luck
  3. Yeah i took it apart again and tried recleaning the contacts. Now they do not even go up and down...... Have no power on the 2 top fuses in the fuse box....
  4. I have read that some just put r134 in and see if it leaks. Going to work on that today... Headlights did not work. So I took the headlight switch out and cleaned the contacts. I got the passenger side to work low/hi. Passenger would come on on initial switch on then go out. So, cleaned them some more and the switch totally quit.
  5. You with black,,,, We have the red 74 z , now a red 86 z , and just got rid of a 93 red z. Had a z from the 70's,80's and 90's. Now count mom's G35 and we have 4 decades of z's Well the 86 was running on 5 cylinders when we got it. Found out it had bad spark wire, Pulled the plug and put a new one in with wire and it purrs like a kitten. Now onto the headlights. It has one up and one down. Can't get them both up at the same time or down. Something about resetting them. Heading to the pic n pay today. Found an 86 turbo junker that I am hoping for some parts that can be used. Missing some trim peaces on the dash. Rear deck lid shocks, front turn signals are gone. etc... Drove it a lot yesterday. Checked a/c and compressor will click on with direct power. I am going to try to recharge system and see it takes. Maybe have a cool cruiser with a/c.

  8. have not worked out the turn signals yet. I think I am going to go with the speedhut speedo that has the turn signals it is.

  10. Thanks.... i have the pin location 108 wired to go to the relay. I also have the blue/red wire going to the ignition on black white wire from where the fuel control module got power. I did not finish that part because of chasing the ecu issues. I plan on finishin that as soon as the ecu is working. In my disgust I pulled all the wires off the relay. I will have to re wire that to get it to work.
  11. I got the 2nd ecu back and after double checking all connections and wiring plugged it in. First click of the ignition it fired up ran, then died. Had the strong smell of fuel thinking it was just rich. Tried to start again and no fire with a large amount of fuel smell. Re-checked the computer for injector pulse and the injectors on 1,2,3 stay on and flooded the motor. So I have sent both ecu's to the tuner back in California to try to fix the issues. I swung thru the local pick n pay and found an 86 300zx turbo, still had the ecu. It is not tuned for the 500cc injectors. It is also not set up for the z32 maf. But the car will run with the maf unplugged just real rich! I have been talking to Martin over in Tampa that works for Z Fever. He tuned my 240sx that had Nistune. He is going to set up the 86 ecu for my setup. He is coming over to Orlando in the next 2 weeks to tune some other cars.
  12. Love the bus,,, subaru motor will be awesome. I know everyone has seen the bus that they put the porsche twin turbo all wheel drive in!
  13. I ducked tape a 2 foot long garden hose onto my shop vacuum. Was able to get in a lot small area's. Was stiff enough to move around but flexible still.
  14. Couldnt get the scope to turn the right way.. What I saw looked good, but the bad stuff would be at the bottom

  16. Well self inflicted demise is the worst. Don't be leary of what I have experienced. Learn by what I have done wrong. Good news now is that I will have 2 88 Z31 ecu's. Tuner found an 88 turbo ecu and will be in the mail tomorrow. May be able to make it to the UTI car show in Orlando Saturday!
  17. Cheap route is Autocom on Ebay! I am using one now. Have over 500 miles on it.
