  1. Seriously, what is the big deal with having a Skyline in the United States? I know people discuss this all of the time, but I always hear information that conflicts with other information. I always seem them dirt cheap, like $7k, in Canada and in the description is always says that if the buyer is in the US the car will be cut in half and shipped that way. What is the deal? How is it possible to legally own and drive a Skyline in the US?
  2. I have a '78 280z parts car i can get that from. Any chance you can show a picture of how much of the harness you need? If not, i'll just cut it way back and send you more than you need. Make an offer.
  3. If globerunner doesn't have one, I got one for ya.
  4. Are you using the stock turbo? Based on what I have seen with fitment of the 2.5" downpipe from MSA, I wouldn't want to go much larger with a 3". It is tight enough trying to get nuts on with the smaller 2.5" pipe.
  5. How bad is it to run a 2.5" downpipe to a 3" exhaust? Does it mess with the turbulence of exhaust flow or does it not really matter because turbos just want no pressure at all? I ask because I have an MSA 2.5" downpipe and I am in need of exhaust.
  6. I had my turbo swap done and then I blew a head gasket. Now I am waiting on my metal head gasket to arrive. I plan on installing that as well as a BORG WARNER T-5 later this week.
  7. Hey guys, I broke one of the long studs on the hotside of my turbo and I cannot find a replacement anywhere. It is the stud that goes through the wastegate and screws into the hotside of the turbine. I have tried Napa, Fastenalls, Advanced..., and True Value....please help me!
  8. Looking forward to it. I am hoping to have my Z back together within a week, but I can't find a freakin stud for my turbo anywhere!
  9. Yes, the MSA downpipe is 2.5" and it seems to fit quite nicely in the space available.
  10. I have always had a soft spot for that pearl white that came on the z32.
  11. I tried a spare ignitor and cole with no results. Anyone?
  12. $300 is a steal...you could part it out when you are done with the swap and come out on top!
  13. Friend of mine was looking for a gas tank that was in good shape. I knew the one on the parts car I had was almost mint so i offered it to him. Just to double check I jacked the car up and saw it was still fine. I then called him up to tell him it was all set. On the way down I put the jack in another position and ended up dropping the gas tank directly on the tank. Nice big 'ol dent....
  14. Yes. Sounds like you blew a headgasket. Possibly warped head? Any other opinion out there?
  15. Yes, I tried another '82 ECU with no avail so I plugged it all back into the ECU I was using
  16. Hey guys. I have been working on my swap for a while and last night I got the car to fire up. Perfect idle and all, but the wires were just in a temperorary fix. Today I went ahead and hooked them up cleaner and now I am not getting any spark. I am working with a buddy of mine who knows the Z pretty much inside and out as well as having done a few turbo swaps. Let me start off by saying that none of the wires were changed in the way they were setup, just hooked up better with clips instead of being set in place. We are in the area of trying to see why we are getting no signal to the coil to (turn on?) from the ECU? or is it the other way around? It is a yellow wire with a white stripe connected to the #5 pin on the big clip into the ECU. We are dead in the water. Car started up first try last night and here today we get no spark. PLEASE HELP!
  17. That middle one really got owned. Haha. But at least a lot of those parts are still good.
  18. Nice! If I am thinking correctly there were some people standing on the side of it and the camera got it from the right rear. I only knew what it was because of the color and only a Z fan would know that door handle/window arrangement.
  19. I think we got a glimpse of the passenger side of the orange z. Overall I loved it! Great cars!
  20. Leaving in an hour with the auto shop here at school. Showing up in style with a few decked out Suby's, 240sx drift machine...no Z unfortunately. Would have been a good night to show it!
